Hi, my name is Alison and I am new to this forum. I love bowling and am thinking about going pro. Anybody bowl in Seattle here, and if so, whereabouts?

Welcome, Alison! Unfortunately, I'm about as far away from Seattle as you can get and still be in the US.

Welcome to the board. If you don't mind me asking, what is your average? That is one thing they look at when someone wants to get their pro card. Check out the PBA website. They have the requirements posted on there, www.pba.com. Or you can check out this article http://bowling.about.com/od/protoursbowlers/a/how_to_join_pba_tour.htm

Right now I'm bowling a little under 200 average. Do you think that is high enough?

I think the current PBA requirement is a minimum 200 average on a typical house shot or 195 in a sport league.

From that FAQ:

Q: Do I qualify to become a PBA Member?
A: You have three different options to qualify for membership in the PBA: 1. Average 200 or better with 36 games. 2. Average 190 or better with 36 game in an USBC certified Sports League 3. Cash in one of the PBA's more than 180 Regional Tournaments; PBA Tour Qualifying Rounds or open PBA tournaments.
