Well just got a copy of the USBC DVD in the mail to today! Anybody else here get one?

Covers Physical Game, Lane Play, Spare Shooting, Mental Game, Equipment, Off The Lanes. Each section broke down into 4-5 parts

It's not to bad, has a bit of good basic information, about a hour and 15 mins. long.

Nice clear video and audio. A Great close up clips of the hand on a ball at release, the lane with computer graphic overlay's.

Love the clip where they show how surface change affected the ball's reaction. They had EARL the robot throwing the same ball, the same way on the same pattern and all they changed was the ball surface.

Showed a simple release drill using a softball, it looks better than the Nerf football drill. They said doing the nerf football one could make you start chicken winging.

Best of all it was free.

You have to read the letter that comes with it close. It makes you think you have to pay for it or send it back, but you don't. On the back of the letter it tells you it's free to keep.

It say's:
"Because you didn't ask for this special DVD, you don't have to participate or send it back and can consider it a free gift. No questions asked."

On the other forums a lot guys missed that part.

I know a guy that received that a few months back. Wish they would send a copy to my house.

BEWARE: When you don't send it back they will send you letters about every 2 or 3 weeks asking for you to pay for it or ship it back. I finally responded with a nasty reply and the letters stopped. I hate to know this is what our fees are paying for.

Have to wait and see if that happens.

Then remind them their letter said it's free to keep.

And remind them of the Postal Regulations about "Receipt of Unsolicited Merchandise"
And that, it is illegal for a company that sends you unordered merchandise to follow the mailing with a bill or dunning communication.

And you'll contact the local postmaster or the nearest Postal Inspector and report them.

Just checked the mail a few minutes ago and nope I haven't received a
DVD not yet anyway. It seems like all I ever get in the mail box is just
a great big stack of bills always wanting me to pay them.

Wanting and getting are two different things. You would think bill collectors would realize that by now.

How much are they asking for it

How much are they asking for it

The letter is very deceptive in how it's worded:

It's $12.95 to join the series, But it doesn't actually tell you what the DVD's cost or how many there are or the shipping and handling cost.

It just say's you pay the "Regular price" plus shipping and handling.

You might could guess, they say the 12.95 is the price after a 40% discount. That puts it around $20 a disc.

so figure $5 S&H for a total about $25 a pop. But since you don't know how many there are, it could be 10 or 100 in the set or they could keep adding on.

It's like a record club they send you one you like it you pay for it, you don't send it back.

Theres no way I'd join it because of how they don't clearly spell out the terms.
