For the really high performance balls do you have to have a high rev rate to keep it straight until the break point? If one has low rev rate is that what pearls are for like the nexxxus? I need something to compliment my dv8 misfit. Are the high performance balls useless after a few games?

noo it dose not matter if you have high or low rev rates the higher your rev rate the more it will hook soo u stand more left and some people cna even stand right but for lower rev rate it depends on how u get the ball drilled if u want ot weaker or agressive if agressive you will stand abit to the right but not as far as a high rev rate player,

if you want a good high performance ball or a pro performacne ball then you should look into the DV8 hell raiser or the DV8 hell raiser revenge but if u want a pearl then the brunswick nexxxus would do perfect.

but it dose not have to be a pearl ball to keep it straight i throw mostly solid balls and i have got 3 different releases a high rev rate a mid rev rate and a low rev rate and they are all for different lines but most of the time there all from the left side depending on the oil i rarly throw anything other then a pro performance ball if you are having abit of trouble getting the ball going down the lane properly it could be your release but if you are getting it down the lane but no hook then it could be your not getting under the ball on the down swing enoph.

thats stuff i was told for a basic thing to learn from if your shtos not doing well looks at these 2 things mainly then if there ok and doing good then you look at the other stuff cause these 2 are the main reasons for bad throws.

How long you can go with a pro performance ball depends on your style, the number of players using that line, how quick the lanes dry up naturally and how good you are at adjusting. Revs allow the ball to skid further before hitting the hook phase, then have a stronger roll towards the pocket creating more angle. Revs are nice but very over-rated for most league bowlers.
The Nexxus is a good heavy oil ball. The DV8 Hell Raiser Revenge is a GREAT heavy oil ball. Neither ball likes it as much when the oil dries up.
