In an effort to continue the success of Bowl For The Cure, the United States Bowling Congress has agreed to partner with The Bowling Foundation to organize and grow the multi-million dollar charity fundraiser.

The Bowling Foundation is a new 501(c) 3 organization formed to serve as the central charitable arm of the sport of bowling, the industry and its partners worldwide with a mission to become a philanthropic leader toward positive social change.

In partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Bowl for the Cure has raised over $6 million since the program started in 2000. Bowl for the Cure takes place across the country and is largely organized by USBC associations and volunteers. Last year, Bowl for the Cure raised nearly $1 million.

"The United States Bowling Congress takes great pride in helping make bowling a fun and successful way to support charity," USBC Chief Operating Officer Kevin Dornberger said. "Bowl for the Cure is already thriving, and we believe working with The Bowling Foundation to bring in new partners will help the program grow even more."

"We are honored to take on the challenge of increasing awareness and funding to help find a cure for breast cancer," The Bowling Foundation Executive Director Troy Greisen said. "Whether you are a casual bowler or an avid league player, Bowl For The Cure is a great way to show support and get involved with this important cause."
