Hi All!
Looking to get new ball for Medium-Medium heavy oil. Was looking at the Roto Grip Beserk(8/14) and the Brunswick C-System Maxxed out(8/8). Not sure which has more hook. I've seen videos of them, but, really can't tell. Any help from the ball reps or staff would be great!
thanks for your replies!

Looking at bowlingball.com, the Maxxed-out should hook more, but not significantly. They both have symmetric cores and matte coverstocks. This means a more sweeping hook instead of a skid-snap hook, and good length due to the symmetric core. The big difference is the RG and differential. The Maxxed-out flairs out more (differential), and enters the hook phase earlier (RG) than the Beserk. The Beserk will flair less, and enter the hook phase later.

It's going to be hard to get real life answers due to the balls not being released yet. Most staffers will try to sell you on their company; they know which side their bread is buttered. Both balls are very similar according to the released specifications. As stated by jimlc2001 the Maxxed out should hook a little bit more. It does have a higher flare potential which allows a different spot of the track to contact the lane each revolution. A clean spot on oil reacts better than an oily spot on oil. Both balls would be good bench mark balls.
One question though. You're post seemed to suggest that hook potential was important. Yet both balls you are considering are symmetrical. Is this on purpose and if so, why? It's not a problem, I'm just curious.

I am looking for a symmetrical ball as I find they work better on the lanes I bowl on in the 6:30pm & 9pm leagues then the asymmetrical balls. I am delegating my asymmetrical balls for the up coming Sport league as I find they work better with the varing Kiegel patterns where I need more angular hook, then the symmetrical balls can give me. I do want some hook on a symmetrical ball, but, not like an asymmetrical.

That makes sense and is the kind of answer I was hoping for.
