And I was kind of stunned. It wasn't about accuracy at all. I mean they were trying to throw these balls as hard/fast as possible. Then they'd try to use pins that had fallen down to hit other pins. I don't know, this doesn't seem very good to me.

Candlepin bowling is fun, IMO. I used to do it when I Pastored a Church in Boston, MA and really liked it. There is more accuracy involved than perhaps you think...

You definitely need accuracy to do it will, but speed doesn't hurt either. It's very tough, in the history of the sport yhe highest ever score is 250ish. It is fun, did it when I visited my sister in Boston.

Looks like fun I just thought it was weird how hard they threw it and gave up loads of accuracy

My grandfather bowled that style for 40 years. Given all the trophies he had I guess he was pretty good. He was only about 5'2" and 130lbs soaking wet so I always thought he used the little balls because he was so tiny....the innocence of youth

My family is all from MA.. We bowled candlepin and duck pin which is short squat pins instead of long thin ones till I was about 8
First time I saw a real bowling ball we were in TX and I wanted to move back immediately.
