Hi All!

I am looking for a symmetric ball that will have as close of a hook to the Defiant as I can get. Here is a list of balls i've been looking at.

Roto Grip-Beserk,Brunswick C-System Maxxed Out,Columbia -Violent Eruption,Ebonite-Endure,DV8-Marauder.

I do have an AMF-Bullwhip,but,sometimes I need a little more hook from a symmetric ball. Also I am delegating all my asymmetrical balls for the up coming winter sport leauge where I will need the asymmetricals hooking power.

Thanks for your replies!

Ran the Ball review spreadsheet, added some that might fill the bill.

1-Brunswick C(System) Versa-max a Reactive Solid
2-Storm IQ Tour Edition a Reactive Solid
3-900 Global Freight Train a Reactive Solid

1-DV8 Marauder a Reactive Hybrid
2-Ebonite Endure Reactive Hybrid

1-Columbia 300 Violent Eruption Reactive Pearl

I was watching a friend throw his IQ Tour the past few days. It hooks so well for him with a nice hard angular motion that I just had to look it up for myself to verify it really has a symmetrical core.

Depending on the pattern length and width you may find yourself using symmetrical core balls on sport patterns too. My Natural Pearl was a life saving this past season on sport shots.

What is the difference between the !Q & !Q Tour besides that one is 3000 and the other is 4000. They both have symmetrical cores so i'm not sure what difference is. Please dont say 1 has cherry smell and the other is apple.

Thanks for your replies!

They have different cores, coverstocks, Finishes, RG and Differental (Big difference on the Diff.)

Storm IQ
COVERSTOCK: PFT - Progressive Friction Technology Solid Reactive
CORE: Centripetal
FACTORY FINISH: 3000-grit Abralon
RG: 16#-2.48
DIFFERENTIAL: 16#-.052

Storm IQ Tour
COVERSTOCK: R2S Solid Reactive
CORE: C³ Centripetal Control
FACTORY FINISH: 4000-grit Abralon
RG: 16#-2.49
DIFFERENTIAL: 16#-.035

Oh and one is "Blue" and the other is a mix of "Red/Indigo/Purple"

I looked up the balls on storms website and I could not really tell the difference between the cores as they looked identical. I will be going
to my pro shop tomorrow and see which !Q they have. Hopefully they sold my Outburst(13lbs)so I can use the money for new ball.

While the cores look the same, the IQ tour was made with different densities that produces a lower differential.
