Old bowling balls

I have a two old bowling balls that I havent really thrown in a while. I got them from the pro shop used and they have been plugged once and then drilled for me. I have a ebonite Vital Sign and a C300 Randsom. Should I just put these in the closet or would it be worth it to have them plugged and redrilled again with differnt layouts... just looking for opinions... I have told a few people I know that I would sell them but just wonder if itd be better just to plug and redrill them for more agreesive or less aggrsive layouts or for more lenth or what not. Anyways any opinions are appreciated

whats good is you can donate it to your neighborhood youth bowling schools that kids are not as blessed as I am to have my parents to buy my 1st bowling ball, shoes, bag and other stuffs for me.. Im sure even if replugged a couple times, they will be more than happy to accept the ball.. :) Cheers!

Unless you really plan on using them at some point. Donating them or selling them would be the best option, not just storing them away.

When people retire balls here they just drop them on the house racks.


Our house rack has a collection of retired balls on it. There is also a creek across from the alleys door, so a few each season end up in the drink ;)

What a waste. Donating them is tax deductible. I know of two young bowlers, ages 6 & 11, not related, that are going around collecting soda cans to turn in to the recycle center to try and get enough money for their first ball. The local pro said he would sell them at cost so I volunteered to pay him for the drilling and fitting.

Bill thats mighty nice of ya buddy... I asked bout donating them to the youth and way I was told by pro shop and of course if I understood correctly is that I give them to the alley they plug them and redrill them and charge the youth but he didnt say how much the youth would have to pay for such ball.
