Put down your go to ball. I know many of us have several different balls, but YOUR BABY, go to on house patters is?

Mine at the moment is DV8! Would be interesting to know what brand is most used.

question #2 is,,,,, do you use plastic for SOME spares YES/NO!

Hard to say because my Track 508a and Motiv Raptor attack I use about the same.

Starting off with the raptor for the first game, swamping between both of then for the 2nd, then 508a for the last game. Really only using one more then the other if the lanes have dried up or not.

And yes i do use a plastic to pick up spares for anything on the left side of the lane. My Brunswick T-zone

I go with whichever of my three are on a "hot streak". If I bowl a good game to end a series, I'll use that same ball the next unless I realize in practice that that ball isn't working. Right now, I hold my Dark Encounter as my main ball, but the Complete Bedlam is the one that's on the hot streak, so I go with it most times.

In the last 6 months, what brand ball have you USED THE MOST, on standard house pattern at your lanes. MOST,,, can only choose ONE!
This is you STRIKE BALL! YOUR power ball! ONLY ONE! MOST <<< MOST used!!! lol Brand,,, Storm/DV8/ ect.ect.
Don't forget to mention if you use plastic, and its brand. thanks,,, I think this could be interesting.

Maybe you could have made this in to a poll with majority of the brands on it and the last one being "other". That would have made it a lot easier on you

I honestly don't have a go to ball at this point.. lol it used to be my Mission 2.0 I used that ball on every house shot when I was confused but I think it's dead now from too much use haha and I haven't been bowling on house shots much since last year so I'm still looking for that go to ball I really like right now I'm leaning towards the Marauder but sometimes it can be a little to snappy

As far as brands go though, I've always liked Ebonite and I use my Blue Hammer Urethane for most of my spares

While I have a few balls to choose from I guess my go to ball is my old Morich LeVrg response. No matter what the lane condition is I can make that ball do what I want.

No plastic spare ball for me, I do have one but I never use it. Thinking about picking up the DV8 zombie spare ball though just cause it's so nice looking.

DV8 Too Reckless. Yes, use a plastic Brunswick T-Zone on the 3,6,9, & 10 pin. Also use plastic on all splits.

Storm Frantic for strikes and when I am aiming for the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, or 8 pins on spares
I have a Jets plastic ball I use for 6, 9 or 10 pins.

I'm learning how to properly throw a better straight ball for my spares.

Ebonite Mission X strike ball. I have an old Ebonite Clear Wolf Plastic that I use for the 10 pin.

I have heard that the mission is the same ball, cover stock ect as the UNDEFEATED! If that's true, then I can see why you like that ball so much! I have two Undefeated balls drilled a little differnt but both sevrved me well. In fact that 298 I had in league last winter was with the Undefeated,,,, I don't know why I put them away!! It was a good ball on med/heavy oil!!

and sometimes for my strike ball i use track depends on how much oil is in the middle part o the lane if too much then i play the outside with my track ball.

i thinking of getting it but maby in abit first going to get a WD so then if i ever go to cloverleaf again i can use the WD there rather then having the dv8 zombie get damaged

Now that the Poll is installed, it's real easy!! I am somewhat surprised! I thought DV8, would be strong, but not first place.!! Wow,,,, Let’s see how this turns out. No need to write if you’re in a hurry,,, just curious what brand most bowler’s on this site use! Like many of you I have 3 different types of balls, but my go to ball on Strikes, ON HOUSE patterns at TWO different AMF’s is DV8,,,, The Terror, and marauder, Storm 1 plastic for spare, and it has given me a strong 90 percent, or higher, on 10 pins now!!!!!!!

I throw Lane #1 & DV8, but this is supposed to be the go to ball. For me that's my old MoRich LeVrg Response. Which needs to be added to the poll. ;)

With as many good balls as there are out there though, it's hard to pick just one.

For me it depends on which center i'm bowling in. My money league and tournament arenal is 98% Motiv. My Monday league stuff is Global/AMF and the 2 other leagues I sub in is kind of 50/50. For the most part my go to ball is my Primal Impulse with my Backdraft a close second. I actually have 2 plastic balls I use. A golden Globe and i just drilled a Motiv Sniper to replace it (Globe is cracking)

Before I got the Dv8 Marauder my go to ball was the mission 2.0.... since I got the dv8 I got to say that the ball is awesome on the lanes...I dont have a plastic ball maybe I should get one one day

I chose the Hammer Nail as my "comeback" ball, after many years away from the sport, and I have no regrets. As a matter of fact, I'm saving my pennies for the Ratchet.
Spare ball? Not yet.

I just lent my domination $250k to a teammate it's a lot of ball. Even if you don't know how to throw a hook that ball will hook on it's own. I never threw the 2.0, but have heard the two are pretty similar.

Put it this way dave I had a lot of problems with my old pro shop guy as far as he had way huge finger inserts in my ball... When I went to the new guy and got the mission 2.0 insterts replaced from when I got it from a friend he told e that and I soon discovered that its true not all pro shops are good and not all are bad. anyways long story short after going to the new guy and him telling e to go saller on the insterts to get more lift and all I shot 2 200s within two weeks of havinbg that ball on league... Until that time I have shot a 200 or higher here and there but never two in a league series .... that ball I have to say is a monster

Brunswick got a bad rep quite a while back as being weak balls. An d at the time compared to the others , they were weak. They were mostly control balls. It didn't help when they went to Mexico to mfg. either.

I use all my balls. Always start with my Columbia300 Rival..Just to see how the ball reaction on the lanes is. From there i often shift to Storm Rapid Fire or Virtual Gravity. At late-evening league games when the lanes are really broken down i often end with my RotoGrip Nomad Pearl. Ebonite Maxim plastic for 7 and 10 pins. But the ball with the most frames and strikes behind it's name the last six months must be my Storm V.G.

Now with a full compliment of stylish balls from the controllable Misfit and Reckless to the hook around a corner in an oil spill Hell Raiser Revenge they have added more great balls on both ends of the spectrum. The Zombie ball is arguably the baddest looking spare ball on the market and the Hell Raiser Nightmare may be so strong that it will hook all the way around the block.

I think I have recruited another deviant. I let the one guy on my wednesday night league try my marauder. He loved it and it really didn't even fit his hand that well. He said he was thinking of picking up the hammer taboo deep purple for his next ball, but those couple of throws changed his mind.

Hey, I had my first 700 series game with the Marauder DV8, along with a 290 game in that series! I have not done as well with the terror, but that could be because of the oil, and my style of bowling! I am working on a new style!!!! Should be out soon at a theater near you!!! LOL

Well I guess I am a DV8, and Storm man now..... I have two of each! Just purchased the new Lucid, and I must say it is has great angle going into the pocket, and works on medium/heavy oil for ME! I all so have the V.G. Nanno great ball. On the other side,,,,, THE DARK SIDE,,, lol,, I have the DV8 Terror, and Marauder, two more but-kicking-balls! Maybe my most valuled ball is the STORM ONE PLASTIC ball!! Ten pin's or no longer a problem! I actually had a (( NO miss streak of 23))! YOU have no idea how important it is to learn to throw a plastic ball!
