Hey guys, i currently changed my release to cup and and cup method and its working great so far. Advices and criticism are welcome!
Also, am I a cranker, stroker or a tweener? And can you estimate my rev rate? I used my dv8 revenge and columbia freeze hybrid.
Make sure to watch it on 1080p!

it was working good but you where off target alot but that takes time to get controll of when you start cupping if you never did it that much but the best line i seen you throw with a consistent reaction was up the right side.
my best guess at your rev rate is like 280-320.
but your style it tweener cause u got a decent amount of rev rate but a crancker has alot more im not fully a cracker but i can get enoph rev when i have too.
but one thing i did see that you where doing wrong is how back you are from the foul line maby if you get abit closer and not as much lofting the ball mgiht react stronger but not sure about that i have never really seen someone stand that far back before.well one i have but much farther my buddy leaves the 7-10 split and in the standing area not even on the approach and he throws his plastic ball down and he got the split some how.

Awesome quality vid man. I agree, you are definitely a tweener. That is an awesome ball reaction though. If you can get more consistent with rev rate and accuracy you should be able to average pretty high.

it doesn't seems like a tweener to me.. i'll say a stroker.. awesome speed you have in your ball.. but i'm guessing the lanes were rather oily since you tend to skid right out of the pocket when you throw. maybe throw slower a little and you might catch the break point.

Let's see:
Your speed is approx. 15.3 at the pins and 17.3 at release.
A estimate on Rev's is about 350 ( without a tracer tape this is a rough estimate at best)
Given if the estimate's of speed and revs are close, they are matched pretty well.
Just a guess but around 10-13 degrees tilt and about 35-40 degree of rotation.
Your not a Cranker, More a Tweener (possible power Tweener), By no means a stroker.
1- Your slide stops about 1.5 to 2 feet from the foul line.
2- Your loft varies anywhere from about 2 to 7 feet past the foul line on every shot (The ball landed past the dots, even bounced a couple times)
3- The ball went up (arced thru the air, the 2nd shot you made in vid) a few times, before dropping to the lane. Means a late release.
4- While you don't have a side shot. Your body appears to be behind your slide foot at release, not over it. (your body was shifting backward after most shots, this is what leads me to believe your body is behind your foot) This will make your balance and leverage be off.
You appeared to be targeting the 3rd arrow mostly and were fairly accurate, misses seemed mainly do to the above variations & balance in your shot making. The amount of loft you use will lengthen or shorten a lane in how the ball reacts.
The conditions look good, the ball appeared to react well and consistently on most shots.
Video:
Video was nice, but you edited the shots a little too close together. Show a little more of the swing before the release, don't start the cut right on the moment of the release.
Include some shots from directly behind and from the side if you can. To see your form.

Bowl1820 hit the nail on the head with his perception of speed, rotation, and power twiner.
Very good video, though.

Do you know how to determine your correct starting spot?
Place your heel at the foul line, back to the pi deck. Take normal sized steps. The same number as your approach. Then add a half step (for the slide). Turn around. That is the 'correct' starting position.
When most bowlers just move closer or further away, they tend to alter the step length, tempo, etc. Trust that you will be in the right spot and let the natural flow take over.
I like your speed and the ball reaction. Once you get your timing correct the ball reaction will be even better.

I currently stand at 25th board and target 15, should i move to 20 or 22 and target 12?

It's worth a try. Or even stay at 25 and target 12. You will know if you have moved your target too far right if the ball drops in the channel before it makes the turn. It's a good way to learn your limitations of getting the ball out.

you can see in the video that i was at 25 and the ball landed around 13-12 and it went to the gutter.
