So last Thursdays league night had some interesting times for the evening. Half the house was a normal THS, other half was the flatest slickest shot I have ever encountered. I am a semi-high average bowler, with a decent rev rate/axis tilt. Couldn't get a single ball to flip at all. I know your going to say move, slow down etc etc. Was playing up 5, around 14 mph which is around the slowest I can throw it.

I walked around watching my friends bowling on the opposite side of the house having a nice little heyday with what was seemingly one of the best shots we have had this year. This was a little disappointing. Bowled probably the lowest series I have had in possibly 10 years. Oh and for the record, I essentially gave up after trying everything I could think of.

Just wanted to rant a little about this.

The tougher the shot, the straighter the shot.

Next time Instead of going down 5 and trying to baby the ball into the pocket. Stand right go more direct into the pocket.

Either that or move inside and play closer to the pocket and don't worry about getting a big entry angle.

Just keep the ball in play and pick up your spares.

Honestly im not really willing to play off the corner, as that is easily the thing im worst at. If it was a more competitive setting sure as heck would have though. Spare wise I was clean outside of a decent number of splits. Just only had 2 strikes all evening.
