So now I'm realizing heavy oil balls won't work much on THS either fresh or after they've been played on.
What's your ball for medium-light oil?

DV8 Marauder but thats also my go to ball lol
I have been starting out with this ball(since I won it here :D ) and then when they start to really dry up I move to my old MoRich LeVrg response. I can still throw the DV8 if I really want to by adding a little more speed to the ball.

When the lanes start to really dry up davec13 I have to either increase speed or move left... I still need a ball for when that does happen

Yep move left and/or speed up, or grab out a pearl and that usually does the trick. I still haven't been able to figure out the actual speed/line for the really dry lane yet so I end up leaving some nasty splits. A little more practice and I'll have that ball figured out. It also doesn't help that I have been stuck bowling straight rollers since I got the ball so the conditions are to say the least a little less than optimal as they drag oil everywhere.

Honestly, I've been going with my MoRich 'Nsane Levrg for years now since I re-drilled one very predictable motion for me can use it on multiple patterns as well I also like the Marauder as my 2nd go to ball

Depending on lane surface and volume in the heads I use my polished Cobra se , Motiv Primal Impulse or Backdraft

900 Global Hook! Red/Yellow solid. I'm not that good (about a 140 ave.) but I shot 495 series (181, 159 & 155) tonight in my league tonight. It's amazing how you can score when you make some spares. LOL

I have three Hammer Taboos I use. For Heavy oil its a Blue/Silver Taboo that sanded to 1000git. For medium/medium heavy oil its a original Taboo that polished. For medium/light oil its a Jet Black Taboo. It helps me when all the balls have the same core so the motion is close to each other. My league oil pattern can change a lot from week to week with heavy oil one week and really light oil the next. I'm a cranker with about 400 to 500 revs.
