A few weeks in and I've greatly improved my form. Still a couple of minor tweaks to work on but it's helped so much. He charges me just $40 a session (He's bronze level certified with USBC). Today we had to cut it kind short because skin ripped on my ring finger. He's hooking me up with a friend who drills balls and we'll really get it done right. The place I drilled my ball at just did straight holes. I use a Frantic which is pretty good on medium oil. Very aggressive. Probably is, it's too aggressive when oil breaks down. So after cleaning and polishing my balls, my coach gave me his old Ebonite The One. When I bring my Frantic to get fixed, I'm bringing The One to get plugged and re-drilled for me. It'll give me that ability on drier lanes to get down the lane and still break into the pocket. I'm pretty excited. He refused to take money for the ball too. Only charged me half price for the lesson since we cut it short.

Just waiting for my plane ticket. Wait a minute, would I need a passport to go in and out of Canada> Use to be just a driver's license but with all the changes, I'm not sure.

Oh, I forgot. Glad to hear you found a coach you have obviously clicked with. My daughter use to have a The One and loved it.

One of these days I will get one. I almost lost out on a free cruise about 4 years ago. It was to the Bahamas and the week after the law changed to needing a passport. I'm told they can take 6 months to get. It was easier when I was in the Army, just show ID and go.

Na, getting a passport can be quick (at least in canada) my family and i went to a funeral in ohio last year so we needed to get passports, it cost $70 to get it done fast but it only took a week.

I'm not sure if it's a NY (border state) thing, but you can just get an enhanced license and cross the border without issue. It costs like $40 more and you have to do a little more paperwork, but it beats having to use a passport. You only get so many stamps on those things before you need a new one. Going back and forth to the casino at the falls would eat a passport up real quick.

Ya, we were looking at the advanced driver's licences, but they took longer to get so we just grabbed passports. Next time.

Hm, I never heard anything about that license. I crossed over from Niagara. They made me pull over and go speak inside. Made me feel like such a scumbag for not having a job.

You may have to specifically ask the DMV about it. I live so close to Canada though every DMV has the signs posted about it, plus they can get a few more dollars for the state. It's not only good for Canada, so I'm sure other states offer the same program.
