I have a DV8 Terror, Black Widow Solid, Bite, Venom and a Taboo Blue Silver all 15lbs. My question is I wanted to try for a new ball cause at 18+mph these arent working for me that well I'm stuck around a average between 170-180. I'm not sure of my style of bowling but I go up the second arrow.

well going streght up the 2nd arrow then the terror should be hooking for you hook i throw the hell raiser revenge and i cross boards with it. it could be that your not putting enouph revs on the ball to even out with the speed i got a high rev rate and i throw form 18-19mph and can make a mid performance ball hook i can even get a freeze going streght up 5 go into the other gutter.

so it could be that you are not revving enough soo try to get under the ball more to put more revs on it.

or possibly your balls are drilled weak soo they wont hook much theres ltos of factors but when you dont give your rev rate its hard to say but wait till after the 31 and maby go get the nightmare im planning on getting 1 my self cause i use to ahve the msot agressive ball in bowling but once the 31st come then i wont.

you can try slowing down your speed if you want to stay on your current line, if not then try throwing the ball straight on the second arrow as striker said.

I think He might mean a "Inverted Track"

How are all those balls not working? I have a Terror (pin up) and can hook it from any spot right of the 20 board above 18 mph at the pins. If the lanes are too dry then the ball won't skid and then will hit the hook phase too early and lose the energy. My Terror hit like a feather tonight so I went to the Reckless, changed nothing else and was fine. Luckily I recognized the issue right away so it was only two crap frames.
I also want to know what an inverted line it.

or get the new nightmare, im pretty sure that will hit the pocket at 18mph

angelo the track 716T hits the pocket at 18-19mph and thats not even going streght up thats with dropping at the 20board out to the 5board and sometimes it hits high or broocklin.

i can also do this with my mid performance balls too soo it jsut depends on how he is throwing it i think he is throwing it fast with not many revs on the ball at all.

yeah and mostly with the terror pin down it should defently hook cause my revenge is pin down and hooks great i did have it at 1000grit aborlan and it was skidding abit to far down and could not open the lane up much threw all the oil soo i got it down to 500 grit and it hooks all threw the oil know

I dont know what the problem is i have even layed it down across the first arrow on the right at 14mph with a lot of revs and cant get it to pick the 7 pin up. but my widow has no problem at 14-15 mph picking it up

have you tried deep cleaning your balls? they might be soaked in oil

Send an e-mail to info@dv8bowling.com tell them how your Widow outhooks the Terror without a problem and you are concerned that you may have a dead ball. Ask if a ball representative could possibly meet with you to look at the ball, etc. Also, attach a pic of the ball showing the layout. Go ahead and put as much detail in as you can. They have always been very helpful with me and I'm sure will be willing to assist you.
There is no way that an aggressive drilled Terror should not be out hooking (?) a Widow.

I will try that thanks Bill. Does it matter that I really dont know anything about layouts to tell the DV8 rep?

No. That's what the pictures are for. They are the experts so hopefully they will be able to see either in the pics or in person (preferred) and rectify the problem.
