170 didn't sound that high at the time. At least I put them in while it was pre-heating so it was a gradual climb in temperature :D

i can totally come up with a conspiracy to explain this!

you see there are these elf's, they can't synthesize oil for there bowling lanes so every night when you are asleep they come to your house and suck the oil out of that ball!

I can confirm the elf phenomenon, The HRR I won has been sitting unused since August, and I just checked, it's completely void of oil.

It's also void of finger holes. But that is a situation I am about to rectify.

Michael and Striker....FYI when you are typing a reply, that red line does not mean you made a good point. That is your spell checker telling you something is wrong. Mike is proof that they had hooked on phonics in the early 50's. I don't like to pick on old iron workers BUT when it's made this easy how can you always pass it up? I like both guys and sometimes even read their posts (just kidding).

Did you use the dish soap? I know that sounds silly to ask but I'm kind of at a loss. Even after only one series I can get oil off my balls. Bowling balls, you perv.
