I've never had a ball that was "too much ball"... What are you all referring to with that?

That the ball would be too strong to hit the pocket or hit it with any ooomph. Some people can't back off the rotation or revs enough to use monster hook balls on a typical house pattern.

If it grabs too much lane for the conditions you're playing on, then it expends it's rolling energy before it gets to the pins - and that's not good for your game.

For a high-rev player, you can easily hook across and back into the gutter with "too much ball".

I think everyone has summed it up lol, i bowl on wooden lanes that are never above medium oil, so having a ball like the aura or nightmare would end up not getting used. besides, i prefer to play out at first arrow, the aura isn't exactly a first arrow ball lol

I've never used a Brunswick product, but I am very interested in what they are making. Between the DV8 stuff, the Nexxus line and now this, man they are making it hard to buy anything else.

Brunswick LET the others have the top spot for awhile. Now, finally they decided to do what was necessary to TAKE back the top spot.

Really? You willing to back that up against this low speed bowler? Paycheck for paycheck, highest pin total for three games.

Cool. Ours are 60+ year old wood lanes. Usual is 40' but sometimes they put down 42'. A certain someone asks every time for the US Open pattern. Not sure why when the Brunswick pattern is his favorite.

not sure how old ours are they where there before i was born so over 22 years lol

Dude, she has more 800s than I do so you may want to be careful. I haven't seen her miss her mark by more than a 1/2" this calendar year.

The Brunswick guys were making both the Aura and Meanstreak look great at the WSOB.

Brunswick is making the best bowling balls in the business right now! That ball looks amazing, but what ball doesn't.

I'm guessing the Aura is basically just one of the Nexus balls slightly tweaked. What else are they going to do?

The Aura has a brand new core and a new resin formula, so not just a tweaked Nexus.

Correct.

It fits between the Nexxus (early rolling true oiler) and Nexxxus (long and snappy on medium-heavy/transitioning heavy oil).

I was looking at this ball and the videos for it for like 5 days now and thinking maybe its the ball for me. Might give my girlfriend a little hint at what i want for Christmas lol. Its polished finish and great on heavy oil? and here i thought polished was for medium-dry lanes. guess i was wrong.
