Who hasn't won a bowling ball besides me?

In my 65 years here on earth I have entered all kinds of contests for everything under the sun. Never won a thing. My folks had the same luck God rest their souls. When I came to this site because of my interest in bowling I was surprised by the giveaways of bowling balls they had here. A ball a week is pretty generous. So I thought that maybe I would have a chance here. I was wondering who has been here a while and hasn't won a bowling ball? Then there are the other kind of people that play something one time and win. As an example the first person to win the very first lotto. Talk about luck. Some folks are on the win list and some are on the other list that starts with S. Ahem! I got a feeling I have a good chance to win here. Maybe. Only time will tell.

I haven't won anything i'm my life lol. It would be nice to finally win something. Hoping its the lotto someday but for now a new bowling ball would be nice. But i have only been on this site for like a month or so but they have been SOOO very helpful with my questions :)

I haven't won a ball here, but that's not what its about! we're here to discuss, learn and grow as a community, the balls are a nice bonus but should not be the main reason for being here :)

Well let me give you some perspective maybe it'll help lol.

Humans evolved over millions of years, and the ancestors to humans for millions and millions of years before that. Our species roughed out all the harsh climates and conditions and other predators to make it here. We now get to live in the age with TVs and bowling. We won a pretty big lotto :D

Don't get me wrong folks. I am not here to try and win a bowling ball. I am here because I enjoy talking about bowling with other folks of the same interest. I like what I get to learn from advice from other folks on how to do things right in bowling and because of that maybe even become a better bowler. It is not like I need another bowling ball. My wife is mad at me already for buying another new bowling ball recently. I could imagine what she would say if I told her guess what honey? I won a bowling ball. So I just want to set things right. I like it here with you folks and if I win something fine. If not my world won't come to an end. If I do win I will have to figure out how to keep it from my wife finding out. She might want to see how hard she can throw a new ball at me.

It is not like I need another bowling ball. My wife is mad at me already for buying another new bowling ball recently. I could imagine what she would say if I told her guess what honey? I won a bowling ball.

This is EXACTLY what happened to me. I usually never win anything either but I won my ball after I had just bought one and had it drilled the week before. So now you've jinxed yourself and you'll probably win this weeks' ball. :D

I am old, and can't remember antyithing! I did win a beautiful plastic ball that I gave to a young girl that coulden't afford one! She was very greatful! Yes,,, I am that kind of a guy! But it was worth it just to see the look in her eyes! She sends me her scores each week, with a thank you Mr Iceman! I now would like to have this Maurder Maddness myself! I have done so many things for my community!! My Wife, Manic said, " Iceman you give the shirt off your back and always wind up with nothing of your own! I don't have the speed anymore for aggressive balls. I will be 66 shortly and my body just won't cooperate. My mind says go at it but my body says be nice to me and take it easy. As an example I can do a five step approach in about seven feet. The reason is my first is short, second step is short, third step is normal step, fourth step
which is the power step is short again and that pushes into my slide which isn't a long slide. Even though I have this short approach I can get a speed of 13.5 to 14.7
mph.

He called the house one night to congratulate me and to ask if I had any questions about how to lay it out. At first I couldn't believe it was him. Here, keep posting, join the conversations, and good things happen. I'm very happy to see so many posting, as for a while it seemed like I was the only one doing any talking.

After my heart valve surgery I couldn't throw 16 lbs any more for the whole night. Since then I've switched all my equipment out to 14 lbs. It didn't help much, I still leave just as many 7 pins. ;) I used to throw in the high 17's, but if I can hit close to 15mph now I'm impressed. I switched from a 4 step to a 5 step to get a little more speed and it probably gave me back 1mph, but my first couple of steps are small, too.

Since this is my 3rd post (i think) add me I guess.... I joined because I just want to get advice and to discuss with other people about bowling stuff. Very new to the game... it's addicting really! If only I could practice everyday I would. I love my Cyclone but hey if it's for free and won it legitimately, I'll be glad to learn how to control it!
