Yesterday i bowled at Fiiesta bowl and it was mid-high 60's in the afternoon and averaged 187 during some leisurely bowling with a group I always bowl with. I then subbed for a league that i averaged 200 with very little adjustments over the 3 games. I was asked to sub for a team on the monday early bird league and i said sure thing. I bowled like garbage in relation to the day before. temperature outside was mid-high 50's and only bowled 151/166/156 pocket light or pocket heavy rarely got any strikes. I moved and adjusted many times to similar results. Has this happened to any one else? btw bowl lefty stroker 15-16 mph and app 200-250 revs.

Yes. Temp today was close to yesterday. Same pair of lanes also but one was morning other evening.
This evening I had to move my feet three boards right. All else the same including speed.
Strange how easily the weather can affect the lanes and how they break down.

This is something that some peoples in my league fail to realize. They think because their ball is reacting more, or less one week it's becuase they oiled the lanes different. All I hear is bitching, oh they just dumped a ton of "greese" on the lane, or when was the last time they oiled here. They don't realize that there are a tom of factors, including temp, and humidity that all play in. Of course, they are alos using a ball that they bought 3 years ago, threw 423 games with it, and never had it resurfaced or had the oil sucked out, but it's the bowling alley's fault right?

It also depends on the time you bowl! I'm used to bowling in the 9pm league where the lanes are dry(6Pm have 5 man teams). If I bowl in an early league where their is fresh oil or a Sport league with a 38' oil pattern I will struggle for a week or 2 til I figure out the pattern. Take last night for instance I bowled on a 34' sport pattern and it was like a 9pm THS for me. I also find lanes break down faster in heat then in cold.
