Is anyone who subscribes to this having trouble loading the WSOB Championship rounds? Sorry if this was asked before. Thanks!

Yeah it doesn't always load for me.

Unless you're talking about the top 4, that won't show on there til after it airs on ESPN/ABC/wherever on TV.

That kinda stinks, was the main reason I picked it up in the first place.

Are you under the impression that the pba isn't making money off ESPN broadcasts? all those commercial breaks and sponsor announcements put a lot of money in the pba's pocket, so ya i can see why they reserve the finals for TV broadcast. Xtraframe is just that, extra content that you don't get on tv.

There is always more than one perspective to every situation.

Very true, however it should be advertised in such a fashion. I would not have paid $70 for a lousy picture, you can't even tell what balls the pro's are using. And to me, that would take a majority of their sponsorship away? Agree?

Also too, are you not supposed to be able to watch them live? Haven't found that station yet!

You can watch live during events.

Regarding not being able to make out the balls, the pba charges a lot of money to allow bowlers to use company X's equipment on tour, during events and what not, the pba doesn't really care if you can tell what ball they are using, sponsored bowlers will often give a shout out to their sponsor when on video (seen it a few times on espn)

I can't comment on video quality however because i don't have xtra frame :( (i want to try it)

During the coverage they will talk about who is using what ball. obviously they won't mention everyone but they do talk a lot about it.

PBA sponsorship money is why 900Global and I dont' remember the other company, are not in the PBA this year. They didn't pay so they can't be used.

It was 900global/amf, and ya... 6 figures isn't all that justifiable, unless your storm/Brunswick/hammer

That brings up a good question. Is that amount each for Brunswick and DV8? Storm and Roto-Grip? For each of the gazillion Ebonite International companies? Or do they get off easy and just the parent company cuts a check?

Good question, i bet they probably register the balls under the parent company in order to avoid this. (speculation)

I just subscribed to XtraFrames and i am disappointed! It is like someone took their DVR and uploaded the last 8 years of ESPN INCLUDING COMMERCIALS to the website.

Am i missing something? I was under the impression I would be able to watch QUALIFYING ROUNDS!

They show qualifying rounds live. You can watch the live stuff in a couple weeks. Check the PBA schedule and they will have the qualifying days listed.

I was thinking there where qualifying rounds EVERY WEEK. Was I wrong?

Yes. They no longer have tournaments weekly they tape 4 or so tournaments in a week. What will be in ESPN tomorrow was actually taped 2 weeks ago.

Still a disappointing purchase. Bad quality, and all. You cannot even take your credit card out, so just like microsoft I'll have to call ad have the charges "reversed" once they automatically ring it through next year. Really sad.

I would love to subscribe to Xtra Frame, but it sounds like they need to improve the service a bit first. Making it playable on an iPad would be a good start. Ideally I would like them to get an Xtra Frame app on the Xbox 360 or PS3, as that is where I watch most of my online streaming content, but that seems like a pipe dream at this point.

Ok, have to give extra frame some credit, jut finished watching the match play for the masters that finish up tomorrow and it was a good show. Really long, but was able to fast forward thru it. For those of you that have it, Mika made a 7-10 at about the 2:08 mark. First time I saw it made, pretty sweet!

Can someone who has access to this check some of the interviews from the Masters on Feb 22nd and see if I'm in the background? Towards the end of the day, the woman doing the updates and interviews did an interview right behind me and I was wearing my CEXC sweatshirt. I was curious as to whether it was in the shot or not.

I'm one of those really weird people, I suppose. I would rather pay to watch all the qualifying rounds and match play on Xtraframe than pay for cable and watch just the ESPN telecasts (They are, after all, posted later on Xtraframe). They tailor the TV show toward advertisements. The bowling comes second, it seems.

He has the most accuracy and luck of anyone on the tour! I despise him and love him at the same time LOL.

Thank god Shafer didn't make it.

I was wishing for this exact same thing as I was reading this thread. All I watch is netflix on my ps3 and xbox 360 and the option to watch more bowling would be great.

I finally just went ahead and got an Apple TV box. Now that there is an iOS app for Xtra Frame, with the Apple TV I can stream it from my iPhone or iPad onto my TV in HD. It works really well.

My wife and I had been looking into getting a docking station for our iOS devices, and then the Xtra Frame app came out just before the Masters so I subscribed, but I was intent on getting it onto my television, and then I got some birthday money in the mail, so it was like the perfect storm of reasons to buy an Apple TV. Honestly, it was one of the best purchases I've made in a while. Now i can listen to all my music and podcasts through my surround sound, and live-stream PBA tournaments. It's the way of the future. The way of the future. The way of the future. The way of the future.....

Seriously, I would take a bowling channel over the golf channel and tennis channel for that matter any day. Took me forever to find bowling on TV and for awhile the only bowling I was able to find was on the only espn channel I didn't have lol.

I am so jealous lol jk. Congratz that has got to be the way to live quality bowling in the full glory of being streamed in HD onto that TV.
