What was your highest game ever and what ball got it for you?

My highest game was a 278 and I got it with a 16lb Faball Blue Hammer that I bought around 1990. That was a great urethane ball that got me some high games and a 710 scratch series for three games that was my highest series ever. I bought that first Blue Hammer when I was in my early 40s. Now that I am two months or a little more from turning 66 I have a new 14lb Blue Hammer that has racked up games of 234 and 236 which are the highest so far. I will have to see what kind of history this ball will have for me. Maybe I will finally hit that 300 marker. It would be nice. I just tied my high sanctioned game of 300 last night. This one was with the Storm IQ Tour Pearl. The first one was with the Storm double agent, and the second one was with the Storm Marvel Pearl.

My first sanctioned 299 game came using a Ebonite Black Turbo then
around 2 or 3 months later my first sanctioned 300 game came using
a Brunswick Teal Rhino Pro and all the rest of my 300's and 800 series
have come from using a variety of different balls.

Funny thing is I was posting something about having 300 games and
800 series earlier today in another thread then this evening I decided
to go to the lanes with my girlfriend and work off some of this turkey
and dressing from today.

Well wouldn't you just know it we didn't bowl league tonight and I go
and have my highest series ever with that $50.00 Roto Grip Defiant Edge
that I bought several weeks ago from another guy. I just wished I could of
been bowling a sanctioned league tonight.

I started off with a 289 game as I hung a 10 pin 2nd ball in the 10th frame
then followed that game up with a 279 game I stoned a solid 8 pin in the 5th
frame then I got lucky on the 3rd game and carried all 12 for another one of
my non-sanctioned 300 games and another non-sanctioned 868 series. :(

224. Got it today with my DV8 Marauder! The rest of the games I threw today were so-so (anywhere from 130 to 180) but that was the highlight of the day. Well that, and bowling 18 games for 8 bucks lol! It worked out to about 44 cents a game. Gotta love that AYCB special AMF has been running lately... :)

My son bowled a 188 with his brand new Storm Tropical Heat (Orange/Purple) as the anchor of his high school's JV team. Past 2 days he has bowled 139-154-164=457 and 188-133-126=447 leading his team to 4-0 and 3-1 wins. His average was mid 120's before school bowling practice began in mid November. His series have been 40-50 pins better than anybody on either team. It's been awesome to watch.
