Game dedicated to my mother

Just as youth league practice was ending this morning my phone rang. It was my brother. At 2:00 am my mother called 911. When they arrived she was unconscious and not breathing. They incubated and rushed her to the hospital where they performed emergency heart surgery. At 8:50 am November 24, 2012 my mother passed away. Being 859 miles away so basically useless I cried while bowling and answering the many calls and texts. I called my daughter and wife as the youth league was starting. I held it together long enough for all the kids to leave. My doubles oartner and teammate was there for his son, standing next to me when the call came. I wasn't leaving until I got a 300. I actually bowled two of them back to back, a first for me, but the battery went dead during the second game. I left after that and have spent the last ten hours trying to process it all while helping with arrangements from a distance. Obviously I won't be on the boards much this week, depending on my flight which depends on the funeral home and hospital.

Sorry about my phone going off so often in the background. My daughter posted it on FB and all my family and friends kept calling/texting to check on me. My wife text me twelve times in the 90 minutes it took to bowl this game. I was on the phone with my brother who was at the funeral home and didn't answer her right away so she got real worried.

I'm flying out Wednesday morning and returning Saturday. I was hoping to come back Friday so I could be at the Youth League Saturday morning but that wasn't feasible with having to pack up her stuff.
