which is harder, football on a smaller field with 4 downs in great weather? or football on a larger field, 3 down, in a blizzard! you don't know football until you play Canadian football!

Of course they only need 3 downs to get a first down, the entire offence moves foward at the snap. You think it's hard to play D in the NFL today, try covering a guy who's running full speed while your flat footed. They have to take a down away to make it a little more fair, otherwise every game would be 117-103
