So, talking with the ally owner today, found out that nobody has bowled a 300 since she became the owner! the high game right now is a 269, so... i have a new goal!

The way i see it will be something like this:

bowl 300
get famous in newspaper and on tv
give shout out to the league i run
the next day....
ally full of people wanting to sign up!

Can i do it guys? be the first person to bowl a 300 on the rustic wooden lanes?

I reckon it will happen Friday in league after i get my hands on the marauder tomorrow! :D

Lol bill its Canada, the highest average bowler i have seen at the ally is 190ish (i'm getting close to being high average as well)

she took over about 2 years ago (i think)

there are better bowlers around, i just think they are too wimpy to bowl on wood, last time we hosted the regional round of a youth tournament nobody showed up so i went to provincials by default.

that 300 shall be mine!

Wood lanes are fun. I'm sure one day you'll get a 300 on them.

Still haven't had a 300 at our house this season and I think there were only 4 last season.

We have a center here in the valley that makes their house shot so easy you are guaranteed to be 20 pins higher on it than anywhere else. So far this season they have more honor scores thrown than all other centers combined. It has been that way for years and I hate it.

Wow. That's insane. I actually helped install brand new lanes in a AMF house back in August. They had wood lanes, and we installed 52 brand new synthetic lanes across the house. We started on lane 1 and worked our way down to lane 52. We were on lane 31 working while someone bowling a 300 on lane 14 on the lanes we just installed. That fast. Wasn't but 2 days after we installed it. That is why the fact that someone hasnt bowled a 300 in that house in over two years blows my mind. lol

The local lanes I bowl at the season record for 300's is 8. I think in the last 4 years there has been right around 10 300's rolled. You go to some other houses with synthetic lanes and synthetic pins and it's hard not to throw a strike. It's always fun when they have the local firemens tournament seeing other bowlers come in and cry about how hard the shot is. Last year I was paired with a person in the tourney who had some ridiculous average (~220) at his house, He threw a 400 series and I heard so many excuses and complaints about how crappy the lanes were.
