Yesterday I was thinking about something Chris Barnes said. I couldn't remember what it was about, but he said something helped him swing the force, and not force the swing. Normally, I would just let the ball fall through the whole swing, and try to focus on what I wanted to do to the ball (Like how strait I wanted to throw it, or how much revs and all that stuff), and focus on timing. So I pretty much focused feeling the force of the ball through out the swing instead. It isn't an easy situation to explain very well, but it did seem like something worth exploring some. What I did notice about focusing on the force of the ball, it gave me some kind feedback as to how I could change that force. I wouldn't just let the ball push into the swing, and execute a specific hand/wrist action. There were several shots where I felt the ball was harder or easier to manipulate and it gave me an indicator of how difficult it would be to put the kind of hand action I wanted on it. Anyhow, I do know that by doing this, I was much smoother on the ball and there were not many times where I tried to force the ball to do something I probably couldn't do to it. Well, I never read much about this kind of thing, I wonder how important that aspect is.
