I did ok in the Tuesday league i run, i never seem to do as well, it seems that i am focusing more on book keeping, helping people and what not then i am my bowling :/

So i wasted a 7 bagger in warm up before league tonight, and of course as soon as the games started i lost my line never to see it again....

143,152,157 i picked up most every non split, but only saw 4 strikes in 3 game :(

Question: how bad do straight ball throwers push the oil around? (Friday league is full of them)

Hopefully tomorrow (well later this morning lol) will be better, i'm itching for a new high series :D

Interesting day today; i slept in so i didn't make it the the ally for warm up, i left the first 4 open while i tried to wake up, then things got interesting... 5 bagger, big 4 for a 178 the first game, next game i started out strong with a turkey, then didn't make the adjustment and left a 6-7, at this point i started to leave 10 pins but struck out in the 10th ending up with a 198. the last game was tough, the lanes had broken down and it wasn't all that pretty, ended the morning off with a 155 for a 531 series. not bad but still a lot of room for improvement. well that and a spare + entry level ball would be nice :D

nice stuff man keep working on it i wish i could string more strikes together i get to 3 and i start messing up every once in a while i get lucky and get 5-6 so ur a ahead of me in that department

Lol i blame the young one i bowl with for not getting a 4 bagger in the second game, just before i go up for the forth frame he pipes up and says "Hey! your bowling a perfect game!" :eek:

So, today started out alright with a 175 in the first game, then things got interesting......

Second game:

x,x,9/,x,x,9/,x,x,x,7-10 split.... RAGE!!!!!

i had one of the best games of my life going that if i struck out would have been a 258.... but no, i throw a beautiful shot right into the pocket and what do i get? a kick in the teeth!!! GRRR! ended up with a 222 with is still an awesome game, but that 258 would have been plain awesome...

anyway, the last game was alright as well, threw a 193 for another almost 600 series but its ok, my strike percentage is going up quite a lot :D

It's that Marauder that's getting you those kickin' scores, that is one dangerous ball!! I love mine, it makes me look SO much better than I actually am! :D DV8 = Damn Good Bowling, man they aren't kidding either.

Nice job on those scores, keep it up!

the marauder is awesome i have rarely bowled under my average since i got it, and my strike percentage has sky rocketed, my old ball was drilled poorly (apparently), and as such most of my pocket hits were light leaving a 7 8 9 or 10 pin standing.

I am loving dv8 so much right now though, i definitely want to get another ball soon, but at the same time i would love to see what the other company's have to offer (looking into a used storm ball at my pro shop)

Another decent day of bowling, 189,191,172.

It should have been a fair bit higher after my 5 bagger in the first game, but i went ahead and left 4 open frames...... O well, live and learn, considering my average is only 166 right now, i'm happy

Friday night league had a fun night for the last night before Christmas, people were group based on similar average, and the person with highest series (with handicap) won a prize basket.

I had a decent night, everyone on my had the exact same average so we bowled scratch. i started off well with a 198, but then faultered second game when i missed 3 10 pins ending with a 155 (ugh). going into the third game i was in second by 8 pins... and i pulled a 219 out of nowhere! ending with a 572 series, winning the basket!

yes umm it was evident they weren't used to having a 17 year old in the league given the bottle of wine in the basket.... LOL

Saturday!

So, for the first of three games today we bowled "normally", and i threw a nice 196, then things got interesting.... second game we went 9 pin no tap and i managed a 247 :D life is so much easier without 10 pins lol

then things went bad.... we were told to bowl sitting down for the last game and well... throwing my marauder at such a slow speed took some adjusting lol ended up with a 109 LOL being able to adjust to that was definitely interesting...

PLEASE SANTA BRING ME A SPARE BALL!

Had a nice long practice session today

started off practicing corner pins:
23,54,48,44 <-- pro bowling lol

Then worked on footwork

By this point the already dry lanes were burnt so bad when i threw a 10lb house-ball straight up 10 with no axis rotation it went Brooklyn lol so i did some practice on coast to coast and found i suck pretty bad at it
132,129,145,210 (don't know how i did that),153

nice day of practice for new years eve. oh, did i mention? it was cosmic the entire time... lol

So, i went for some practice today and found out that it was cosmic (ugh) it started out with me waiting while the birthday party next to me stood on my lane and took pictures......

anyway after they left the lights stayed off but i got 4 good games of coast to coast practice in.

I started out with a 148 while trying to find the line, the biggest issue i've had with coast to coast is pulling the ball (i did a lot of this)

Second game: found a line and figured out the adjustment to not pull the ball, i ended up with a 209 :D finally think I'm getting decent at coast to coast. 2 more games of coast to coast at 182, 187, then i started spare shooting.

43,19(was nailing 10 and 7 pins), 33, 25.

great session of practice, but i don't think it should count for my first game of the year, save that for league tomorrow (after i expand my arsenal)

So, today was the day, i got the NeXXXus Drilled, and man does the ball hit like a truck, the pro shop had Abbey road set up on two lanes and off i went, first game was a 149, and i was playing way further inside than i should have been, moved right to the played 18 to 5 and wow the ball was the ball nailing the pocket, 217, 199 to end off the three game series :cool:

Had a lot of fun and loving the NeXXXus right now

Learned the limits of the marauder on burnt up conditions....

will definitely need a lower end ball....

put two coats of high gloss on that marauder, and it will still cook!!!! (on dry lanes)

actually, it turns out the NeXXXus works amazing on dry lanes, its drilled to go long, and given it's already a pearl it seems to completely ignore the early friction and hit the pocket like a truck.

wasn't sure if i should bother posting this....

got out of school early today so i walked to the bowling ally, only to remember i had taken my bowling shoes home to clean.... so i bowled 3 games with house shoes!

good lord was that uncomfortable after so long with my own shoes...

137,145,124 for a whooping 406 series... haven't shot that bad in a fair while lol man do i love having my own shoes.

Friday night league went rather terrible, during the second game i managed to pull my hamstring so i spent the rest of the night without and real approach. i ended up shooting a 446 series with 169, 145, 132. it

I wasn't sure i whether i would go to youth league Saturday morning, but my leg was feeling better when i woke up and I'm glad i did. After last night i finally decided to stop planting and teach myself to slide, and it went really well. the first game i shot a 166 while getting used to the slide and finding a line that worked with the reduced rev's i was putting on the ball, in the second and third games i did a lot better shooting 205 and 221 respectively for a 592 series! still haven't gotten that second 600 series, but i seem to get damn close a lot lol

By the way, is anyone actually reading this? LOL

Yes, I read it. I don't normally respond to score postings but I read them all.
Your revs will return once you get use to sliding. Part of the drop off is trusting where you will stop sliding at.

Haha alright just checking. honestly, the rev drop was kind of nice i played straight up 5 and was nailing to pocket

I thought i'd post my Friday and Saturday scores before i head out to the tournament:

Friday: hate to say this was a struggle, don't know what it was but i was missing my mark A LOT... 145,172, 155

Saturday was a lot better after a nice night's sleep: 177,209,180

Now to go throw 600 series to win the Youth Doubles :cool:
