Since this is my first USBC league, I get one performance ball for $60. My four options are:
Ebonite Cyclone - 167.2 Perfect Scale
900 Global Hook - 160.9
Storm Tropical Breeze - 118.5
Brunswick Slingshot - 157.6
Currently, I'm rolling with a Storm Frantic which has a pretty strong hook for medium or medium-heavy oil lanes. My coach is giving me his Ebonite The One and I'm having it drilled for length. That should help me with those lanes as they dry of a tid bit. Both of those have higher perfect scale ratings (189.5 and 200 respectively). I'm thinking the Tropical Breeze would give me the most diversity as the other three are too close to my current setup.
Thoughts? Concerns?

Forgot all about this! I should be able to do the same thing! This may fit perfectly for a dry lanes ball I want to get.
I am thinking slingshot or cyclone.

LOL My mom said she could buy me one but I wouldn't be able to use it until after Christmas. I told her she could buy it, I could get it drilled, use it, then on Christmas wrap it up.

ok those are just entry lvl balls but for $60 cant beat that its better then $150 but you should go with the 900 global hook its got the best rate on the perfect scale and tis a good ball to learn how to hook the ball but a better entry lvl ball then all of them is the c300 freeze i got one and it is a good spare ball too
the ebonite cyclone says its the highest but its a typo its really ment to be a 157 not 167 i asked and they told me alot of typo get on there and they try fixing as many as they can

I would go with the Hook or the Cyclone. The Global covers are very durable and the core is a modified version of the AMF Code core. The Hook is also available in solid, pearl and hybris. The Cyclone has a good core and uses the coverstock from the One pearl.

but i can tell you this if you are able to get your hands on the freeze then get the freeze its one of the best entry lvl balls i have ever thrown nice continuation threw the pins and reads the lanes nicely and makes a nice arcing hook on the back end and i got mine drilled different then all my aggressive balls mines pin down 1inch between fingers and my aggressive balls are pin up 1inch between figners and i can make my freeze hook nicely.
i got a video in the thread right below general bowling diss the title of it is (me bowling please tell me anything i need to improve.) (on 2nd page near the top) when your looking at the titles look just below it and you will see the user names look for my name at the start of the video i was throwing mid and high aggresssive balls but about half way and to the end i was throwing my c300 freeze and threw my c300 freeze for my spare shots too.

The Cyclone. This is a very good ball on drier lanes. Good, strong core to maintain a hook while the cover will clear the heads and read the mid-lane real well.

Those perfect scale ratings are absolutely useless.
I think since you have stronger balls you would definitely be happy with the Tropical Breeze.
