Getting the ball to make the turn when playing inside!

I am mainly a speed dominate player with medium revs. I have all high pins on my stronger equipment. I seem to only be able to get the ball to make the turn on a THS. I struggle with changing my axis tilt and that being consistent. Is there a way I can get my next ball drilled to be able to make the turn and not change a whole lot?

when i go practice with my coach they have hard oil patterns its a 6 lane ally and its pretty much have 2 lanes set up for Chris Loschetter and i normaly bowl there not that i look to see what my ball does as much as i focus on my forum with him but my ball still hooks on thos patterns what ever they may be

O OK. I was wondering. I read it and thought you were just bragging but that didn't fit how your other posts have been.

ooo ok i was confused cuz my ball always hook maybe he should check his finger grips i changed mine cuz of winter and my hand shrinks

Why are you playing inside exactly? Usually people do it because they have really high revs or the lanes have gotten so frictionfull that if they play outside it hooks too early so playing inside is just natural. Maybe just slow down.

You might try pin down which will make the ball start it's hook sooner rather then later.

The only time I try to move in is when the reviews of patterns say to. Again, not any detail on the players that did those reviews. For instance, SHARK pattern. Everyone seems to be able to get some hook inside and ball continues to make turn. I dont think I habe enough hand or my equipment is drilled wrong. I have 2 "big" hook balls if you will, 1 being the defiant with pin over ring finger with weight hole. Not sure where everything is based on angles(not very knowledgable on layouts). But I wanted a "big" hook out of that ball. Now I have a STORM NANO with pin above ring and can get more out of that ball, not just on THS, but on numerous other patterns as well. I just picked up the Aura from Brunswick and the Nightmare from DV8. Should I request pin down?

Request a dual angle layout. Pin up, pin down stuff is so outdated it isn't funny. Being speed dominant you want smaller angles. I would suggest a 50* drill angle, 4" pin to PAP, 30* VAL. This layout allows for a strong mid-lane read, good flare and easy revving with a strong back end continuation. This is the layout I used on my Marauder and it can keep up with the stronger balls.
