Yea i was pretty proud of myself as i usually have a 150-160ish game then drop down to 100-120 for the other 2 games. Thinks went much better after i started wiping my ball before each shot and trying the 4 step approach. Probably the highlight for was picking up a 8 10 split, too bad only one person saw it haha. Im subbing in my other friends league tonight so hopefully i can keep it up!

I watched dick webers guide to better bowling earlier and itd helped me so much. I just focused on a nice controlled stroke and put alot of emphasis on picking up spares. The last game i didnt feel as good as the first two as i was focusing more on strikes instead of calm bowling; im gonna blame it on the fact i was sobering up haha.

i never got in the zone tonight and it didnt help that the team we played today all bowled 300's at some point (its 9 pin no tap)

had a good strike line during warmups but as the games started it was gone and i couldnt find it during the whole series

at the end of the last game however i did notice that if i slowed down my stroke, i got more hook out of the ball and i able to overcome the lack of strike/heavy oil, whichever was causing my ball not to hook. This resulted in me bowling 4 in a row at the end which led to a score of 129 lol

went for some practice last night with the goal of figuring out how to 2 finger + thumb hook bowl which was unsuccessful

i did however buy a wrist support glove when i bought my shoes last week and decided to give it a try with 2 fingers

omg its amazing once i got the hang of it! Started a new game and right off the bat i threw 4 strikes and ended finishing with a personal best of 201!

finally learned how to 3 finger hook bowl! Put it into use today getting a 124-171-155

also won a too reckless ball on ebay for 20$ so i should be getting it before next league and hopefully my scores improve

just thought id update this after a couple weeks. 2 new balls. Had last week off from league. Have been sticking in average range. Bowling 2 games yesterday and had a 135 and 168. Still getting used to my new ball but i love it!

the alley was randomly packed last night and in turn the lanes were bone dry. I dont think i hit the pocket once with the crossroad no matter what i did. Got a 110-126-138-120-146 with that ball i then decided to switch to me urethane spare ball and got 130-148-168-145.

no one on my team could figure out the lanes tonight including our 225 avg bowler who averaged about 140 tonight. I had to slow the ball way down and lessen the revs just to hit the pocket.

Practice games today 144-169-135-85 <---had a boo boo on my finger than got reopened during the last game so i went from a 9/ X 7/ to gutters and barely hitting pins

been a sniper with spares using the plastic house balls as of late and ive gotten much better with accuracy with my strike ball. Too bad theres no league this week :(

For those of you that follow this thread i talked to one of the staff members and he said that on sunday night(my league night), they had a huge party bowling before my league and so there was a lot of oil carry down. He said they dont clean the dry area, they just re oil the lanes before league Which explains why my ball was only hooking at a fraction of what it normally does.

If hooking was a problem, just move to an area where it starts hooking. Last 2 weeks of my Monday league, they replaced all internal parts of one of the oil machines, so it was practically a new bowling ball. This practically flooded our side of the house, so allot of the crankers or even those who hook the ball, had issues. Only the down and in bowlers didn't really struggle. I'm a tweener and usually play out and in. But after realizing this, I moved out and started playing a down and in shot. A shot I'm very unfamiliar with. I finally started hitting the pocket and striking.

3 pins short of a 300 but im glad that i got my magic back this week and got my first 700 series! Also had my first experience needing to make a ball switch from sanded to polished. Shot the first 2 games with my sanded too reckless and by game 3 it was just too much. I switched to my polished crossroad and i was able to play my line again

Last game i always do something other than shoot my normal line so for game 4 i decided to line up inside and shoot across 20-25 board and supisingly my too reckless seemed to perform better and hit harder than playing more outside and shooting 15 board

When I first read that I thought it was a typo. I've never done that... throw three games in one series with the same score. Its one of those oddities I wouldn't mind chalking up. If nothing else, it'd be good conversation. That 900 series is a majestic dream, however. (: .)

trying to correct my release so that it rolls off my finger instead of whatever i have been doing to make my ball track over the top hemisphere of the ball. Still isnt perfect but atleast the track is on the left half now and the ball hooks soooo much more now as well. Was also able to successfully get my back swing up to parallel while still keeping it balanced with rev rate. Still gotta work on my leg kick though lol

used my new release and higher back swing but my accuracy was way off. Decided to take my wrist brace off after the second game and right off the bat i shot a turkey. I think this might be the end of wearing a wrist brace. I still wanna bowl with a glove on though

throwing 20+ mph anywhere close to the pocket was strikes all day. If i threw it too far right my rev rate was able to bring the ball back in and hit the pocket

Got off to an amazing start with a solid performance of 115-164-127 lol

in my defense our league manager came by and told us that we were playing on sport shot and the backends were actually clean for once. Couple that with the fact that i havent been practicing as much so my consistency and accuracy is all over the place. Oh well better luck next sunday!
