in terms of overall hook potential bowlingball.com says the madness is quite a bit stronger, however the 716T has an asymmetric core vs the madness's symmetric...

more or less they are just different...

Hate to break it to you, but it is not purple. Maybe under a black light it is, but the Madness is blue and yellow. I was hoping for a purple ball but was said to find out it was blue, but it still looks cool. I have yet to do the black light test on it.

It is a really good ball! And I must say I know when throwing this that it is my fault when I do crappy and not the balls fault.

It's not even kind of purple, it is blue. Blue/yellow and aggressive!

It would be nice to win a ball for Christmas. I don't think my wife would like me to buy another ball. She said two balls were enough. I disagree. I think that I could always use another ball. Having three is just right.
