Degrees are used a lot in bowling talk and a common problem is typing or inserting the degree symbol on a standard computer keyboard. So everyone resorts to just writing the word degree, which is fine. But if you want to use the symbol Here is how it's done within Microsoft Windows:

Hold down the ALT key and type 248 on the numeric pad, then release the ALT key.

If you have a Mac, hold down the Option key (usually labelled ALT as well) and type a zero.

If you're using a laptop without a numeric pad, copy and paste this character: °

My sister used to love that boy band, 98° Hey check that out ! Learn something new every day. Some days, you learn more than one thing!

And other days you learn how much you've forgotten, although I'm pretty sure I never heard of 98º before and that I didn't know how to type º.
