I updated the other thread but i figured id make a new one. Went to the shop yesterday and picked up a Storm Crossroad. I went in looking for a Marauder but i was open to anything. I told the guy i wanted a good all around ball and this is what he recommended since they didnt have a Marauder is stock currently. Bowled for 5 hours with it last night and i was quite impressed with the recovery, hook and striking power. I can pretty much throw it anywhere and it comes back for me. About halfway through bowling i noticed it already had 2 chips in the coverstock though which hurt a little. The bowling alley has a sign up saying they take no responsibility for damages to reactive resin balls so im SOL. Overall though amazing ball and would recommend to a friend.

Nice choice, the Crossroads is a great all around ball. I know a few bowlers around here who use it as their benchmark ball. I had the same thing happen with my 607A, within 2 games it had a chip. No big deal, it's just cosmetic. good luck with the ball, and hope you have a whole lot of 200+ games with it.

First, e-tank shouldn't talk about himself in the third person lol
Congrats on the new ball, that crap about them not being responsible is complete bs, a good bowling ally should be willing to take notice and fix the problem with the eqiupment that caused the damage, any less is just laziness and a lack of customer service.

The sign is just that, a sign. A sign posted does not in any way excuse the alley from CONTROLLABLE damages. It's their responsibility to maintain the equipment and ensure it's in good working order.
Glad the ball is to your liking. Many more good games to come!

At least say something to the desk so they at least are aware of what lane it is so they can look for the problem. You will find a lot of times the alley is never told about an issue like balls being chipped as they are not informed.

I've been to a few places that if a ball gets damaged, they will fix it free. They have signs up saying they aren't responable, but the pro shop guys, and mechanics will tell you if something is damaged let them know. Drop it off at the desk, and it will be resurfaced free.

If the bowling center has any common decency
and any kind of customer service they should be
willing to fix your ball. It is their machinery that
damaged your bowling ball so they should be held
accountable for any repairs.
I know our center has the decency to have the bowlers
bowling ball(s) repaired or replaced if they get damaged
or damaged beyond repair.
If the 2 chips are not in the track area then it will have no
affect on the balls performance it will just affect the way it
looks. I always just call the nicks/scratches on my equipment
battle scars as long as the track is not affected by them.

theyre all to the left of the finger holes and could potentially be on the track
