I have deceided to try bowling left handed due to bursitus/tennis elbow in right arm and am curious about what would happen if I use a ball drilled pin up or down(Middle of ring /middle finger) for my left hand? Will it roll funny? Will it mess up my track? Will it hook or go straight?
I am curious as I don't want to get a new ball until I know I can bowl left handed!

I've thrown my spare ball left handed. It has a long arcing hook the way I throw it. I also throw very slowly.

I throw a amf angle drilled for left hand and the track is normal for me and the hook looks pretty normal for a urethane

When I switched I started by trying a house ball and rental type shoes and a sympathetic coach. Three or four games should give you an idea if it will work. I was able to do a mirror image of my natural approach. My friend Jeff, who switched as a youth bowler, went from four steps to five, when he did it because to him it didn't feel right starting with his left foot.

I used my regular balls at first (about six months) and then used a friends left drilled equipment. Mine hooked fine although differently. Once I used his, it hooked like a mother!

Well the experiment has temporarily failed! Got the footing down somewhat, but, can't get my arm to go straight. Left arm kept wanting to go to 10 pin, then changed mind at last minute and went back up ball(Weird feeling). On top of that,my body kept twisting and after pulling muscle on right side,I deceided to finish bowling right handed and work on footing and timing since I paid for the games. I will give left handed bowling another try in couple weeks or month.
