Hi everyone. Been a while since I've posted since the table saw incident. My hand is as healed as it's going to be. The first joint of the index finger has about a 45 degree bend in it. The second joint is very stiff but usable. Some slight loss of feeling in various spots. The more important finger (as far as bowling goes), the ring finger is 100% back to normal, other than some surface scaring that doesn't affect my swing or release. Today was the first time I picked up a ball since the accident and I'm pleased with the results. Averaged about 165 over 10 games low in the 150s and a high of 221. My 11 year old son bowled in the youth league midnight no-tap last night and won for his age group so we are both feeling pretty good today.

Welcome back and no more table saw for you! We'll have to find something less dangerous for you to use,so you can continue bowling.

Thanks everyone. I've taken care of the saw problem. I sold the old craftsman after I cleaned the blood off it and bought one of those sawstop brand saws. Practically impossible to cut yourself on it and it turns out some great work to boot. It was great to get back on the lanes but I've enjoyed just watching my son bowl in his Saturday morning league and helping out the local coach with the paperwork and other stuff. It's amazing to me how many parents just seem to drop the kids off and run errands while they bowl. I mean take an hour or two to show the kid you're interested in their lives and give them some encouragement, jeesh. Anyway I'll get off my soapbox now. Hope everyone here had a good Christmas and or Hannakuh or whatever you celebrate and a Happy new year to all as well.
