Thanks Guys! The whole tournament was a ton of fun and i can't wait to do it again next year. Striker, you got to sand bag more before the qualifying next year lol.

Some how i managed to pull off a qualifying average of 147 (locked in for the tournament), since then my book average has risen 14 pins, so.... i was in pretty good shape lol

4 Game final, I have a High game of 207 and averaged over 180. Partner did amazing as well, qualifying average of 138 and threw a high game of 199. we ended up with 230 something pins over average in 4 games.

Now for the Zone Round of the National Tournament next month

Congrats Ben! How were the lanes?

The Lane's actually weren't to bad, it had to be the one other center in 50 miles with wood lanes so a lot of the bowlers had some issues, the lanes were still cleaner than what i normally bowl on.

So what's next?

Well that's in for that tournament, there is no national round. but the national tournament (scratch) has begun and i've already won the house round moving on to the zone round sometime in February.

There are some scratch tournaments going on right now locally. I am wondering if I should stick with open bowling for a while longer until my games are consistent.

For scratch tournaments I suggest that you wait till your average is 190+. If the tournaments were handicapped and you have a USBC sanctioned average, I'd say go for it now.

My best payout in a tourney was the first year that I was bowling left-handed. I went in with the maximum handicap, shot two games around 150 and also threw a 263 in the singles. Felt guilty that I only bowled about my average in the doubles so that even though we cashed, my partner barely broke even.
