My league average is 132, had a frustrating but overall excellent night. Scored my highest league game and series this season!

Good job. Now you know you should average at least 160 the rest of the season.

Do you practice spare shooting at all?
Also, you seem to leave a lot of left side pins and 8 pins (alone or with others). What line are you playing and what ball? How often do you hit your target?

Bill, your keen eyes spotted exactly why despite being my best night, it was frustrating. I was hunting for the pocket all night, most often coming Brooklyn (for a lefty). Ball is DV8 Marauder.
I line up kinda goofy, left foot on second dot from the left and my mark is 2nd arrow from left. I tried subtle adjustments and the most successful ones were when I moved slightly back.

Spares were the other challenge. I abandoned my ancient 16# plastic and bought a 14# T-Zone 30 mins before league. Kinda reckless but it was time. Right spares and center spares were tackled with the Marauder. Left ones with the tzone.
I'm definitely not adjusted to the ball and will need practice in it as we'll as spares in general. Despite being a plastic ball, it's head and shoulders above the 25 year old plastic Ebonite that's going to pasture.

Cheers
Dan

I like the way your score sheet is set up. Ours is nowhere near that cool.

Congrats on the game and series!

OK so being left handed when you leave the 8 pin alone the ball is going in too strong, not deflecting off the five enough, going through the 9 only instead of the 8 & 9. If it does that going brooklyn it means something totally different. When going brooklyn you're at least three boards off with your feet (move in direction of miss) if everything else is correct. If you're missing your target, DO NOT ADJUST. It's almost impossible to adjust correctly off of a bad shot.

Thanks again for the sage advice, Bill! Will take that to practice and get that brooky back into the left pocket :)
