Anyone else get alot of attention because their DV8 ball?

My Too Reckless always seems to draw peoples attention due to the design or the amount that it hooks. My crossroad is the stronger ball but ive never gotten any compliments about it other than the fragrance. Whatre your experiences?

I've had people ask me about my Zombie spare, as well as my green and white Misfit. I would not say a lot of attention, but definitely started some conversations while at the lanes.

Every week at least one person comes to ask about what I was throwing. Last night after league a young guy asked what the blue and black ball I was throwing was. I told him the DV8 Terror. He said he was interested in a Marauder but had only seen one on the internet, never one live. I smiled, told them to turn on a lane and pulled the Marauder out of the bag. He was going to order his today.

Ive only been bowling since sept but the only dv8 ive seen at my alley is mine. Mostly storm or hammer here. Im thinking about getting a stronger ball and a terror is near the top of my list

I was the first with DV8 in my house. Then my doubles partner and two league teammate, Derrick, got the Too Reckless. Now there are several Hell Raisers and a few Revenges. Two of the kids in the youth league bought DV8, one a Marauder (he saw my back to back 300 games with it) and the other a Too Reckless. Our local pro shop had to start carrying DV8 with the air fresheners because so many people asked about them after seeing me at the alley so often with DV8 stuff.

when i bowled in my home town alot of people use to ask me what ball im throwing and also how am i making it hook so much and they say they are throwing there most strongest ball and one guy was throwing the girtual gravity nano and i tell them it is eather my too reckless or HRR and i tell them that they are driling for a strong backend.

The pro shop that i go to only carries the terror but he said hed be getting the brutal nightmare aswell. First time using the too reckless in league tonight so maybe i can make some believers outta people!

There is one other guy in my league that throws DV8. He has a Misfit, but every one in awhile I get people telling me how cool the Madness looks.
My driller made me bowl so he knew how to drill it cause in his words "the ball is too good to blindly drill it".

Mostly Storm balls in my league, that I've recognized anyway. I don't really ask much about other people's bowling balls. There definitely are quite a few DV8s though. Most of the staff at my league's alley all wear DV8 shirts and such.

center. I got a lot of looks and questions as to what kind
of ball it was when I first got it. The next thing you know
after they watched me bowl with it everybody was buying
and using them.

Any brightly colored ball will tend to catch peoples eyes a little more. Which after Billf saying people bought the balls he was using after watching him sorta made me chuckle. Not along the lines of not believing you, as that isn't the case at all. Just I tend to be the only person who throws the balls I currently have in the bag.

I'm going to be the first one in the house i bowl at to have a DV8 ball. the majority where i bowl use hammer,Brunswick,and storm. So when they see me throwing my brutal nightmare they gonna be like what it that lol.

Nobody at our lanes cares at all what kind of ball anyone else throws. Its all about throwing a good line. If you're hitting the pocket who cares what brand you throw.

The guys that aren't hitting the pocket, that's who. They're all on the quest for the magic ball that will automatically make them smooth and hit the pocket no matter how poorly they throw it.

Can't say anyone on our league has ever commented on my DV8, which is the only one there that I've seen.

Ball admiration seems to be something we're not doing, apparently.

No one around here uses DV8, so when I pull out my new Marauder, I expect to hear a lot of "what ball is that?"

So I show uo for league tonight, after practice started as usual (damn work!) and on my way to my lane three people asked what ball I was going to use tonight. One guy has been thinking about getting a Terror and wanted to see how it reacts. He had to wait until after league, too dry for me to use it during league. Used urethane all three games tonight.
Put down the Montreal pattern after and we took turn throwing my Terror. Then I let him use one of my Revenge's. Another Revenge on order!

I think the reason DV8 gets so much attention is because with Storm, it's inappropriate to walk up to a stranger and ask them if you can sniff their balls.
