I have a slower speed, usually 11-12mph with a medium rev. Looking for this to be strong for the first ball out of the bag. Any ideas? Thanks!

Need a little more info on lane surface, oil volume etc. However my ball speed is similarand for myself i would go 5x45x35 (pin up) if it was for a heavier volume shot i would go 4.5x45x35 (pin up) or 5x60x70 (pin down)

From the reviews I have read, you are looking at a highly aggressive ball that may burn it's energy up prematurely if drilled too aggressively. It is hard to say without the benefit of a video or more info on your shot, but since you throw it more slowly I might get it drilled pin-up? I am wondering what your pro-shop might think?

I agree. Too aggressive of a layout with a slow speed may even hook too much.

Do you have any other bowling balls?

I'm getting my Sync today. According to UPS, it arrive in one town over early this morning and it's in a truck delivering mail so I will be getting it soon. I want to get it drilled immediately so I can try it out, but with the Nor'easter, it might be a little while. The guy who drills my balls doesn't work the shop every day, might just be Saturdays and they are saying up to a foot of snow where I go for drilling.

I'll probably just get a normal drilling, 4x4x2. Should work well for me, as a mid-speed tweener. According to Storm, 4x4x2 is good for medium speed tweeners, slow strokers, and high speed crankers. "High flaring, strong layout. Good on multiple patterns. Strong entry angle."

Thanks everyone, my pro shop guy said for me to go pin up and about 1/3" off to the right. I wanted something to start with, and my Lucid would struggle in the early frames/games. I get it tomorrow so I can't wait to give it a ride!

I got mine around 7:30pm last night. All freaking day, every time I heard a vehicle, I popped up looking for the truck. And now that I have it, we got a damn Nor'easter. I shoveled the driveway, but my mom's car is blocking me and I didn't uncover her car or my sister's.

Maybe pin up above your ring finger would give the ball more length and take out some of the aggression. With a slow ball speed this might be the way to go for you. Don't get me wrong though, this will not turn your ball into a pushover. It will still have killer instinct but let it kill further down the line.

Ok, I know it has tobe me, but I want to fire this ball for some reason down the lane (to much muscle). Don't know what it is, have bowled the worst 2 series in the past 3 months. killing me, lol! Gotta slow it down.

Which weight are you using? And why don't you like your Lucid?
