No signature???

I was just wondering why I am restricted from creating a signature. When I try to edit, it says I do not have permission to create a sig. Is this because I am new to the site? I only wish to make a single line signature stating what I carry in my bag.

Yes, it is because you are fairly new. I was able to create a signature about my fourth day on the site. Though I do not know the algorithm in place that determines when the editing features are unlocked.

the signature works when you get a good amount of posts on like 40 or soemthing not sure i did mine when i had 120-150 posts.
