Looked good when you were throwing it out further in the first two balls. It seemed to come back stronger for you. I couldn't tell if it was ball speed or your release that changed after those first two. But the ball didn't go out the 1st or 2nd board or come back as nice.

Only a couple things I'd recommend if you're not comfortable throwing it that far outside. One is to get lower and lift the ball off your release - once again, I couldn't really see your release, so maybe that's not an issue - it will help drive the ball with the back end, and assuming it hits the pocket at the right angle, carry through the 5-8 and clear the deck.

Oh, and what happened in the 4th frame or so? I saw you walk up without a ball and check the approach.

On the 4th frame I was checking the approach and the distance out to the next lane over. This was open bowling after 9pm at night and this chick would rush the line while i was on the approach and I since my leg sticks out far to the left i wanted to make sure I wasn't going to trip her and BF beat me up. You know how it is... these PEOPLE have no clue about lane courtesy. It is double hard for me when the lanes on both sides of me start their approach while I am! My wife says I need to try and ignore all of that and just focus on my mark. It is harder than she thinks!

I have a hard time constantly hitting my mark every time. Sometimes I drop it to the left or the right. When I drop it to the right it slides out further and hits back hard. When I drop it to the left It will slide a straighter line but still hit the pocket. I have a pretty medium sized margin of error.

Now about my SPLITS. WTF?

Thanks for the comment Smiling. I am now waiting Bill, Bob and Rosco!

Also any comments on the camera angle for my next feature film? I was resting the camera on the score table. I think I have access to a tri-pod.

Ya know... After further review of the video I noticed that my leg does not enter the lane to the left at all. With that said, the next time I go bowling I am going to try really hard to not think about the left lane and just go for it! I suffer from anxiety and I focus on more stuff outside and around me than anything. I focus on my rear view mirror while driving more so than in front of me. Not sure why. I am weird.

I noticed the folks to your left were amateurs and the guy seemed to be horsing around. He needs help coaching and may need an attitude adjustment. The girl over there seemed to be having more fun than him. On your right, those kids seemed to just try to hook the lane balls as much as they could. I see a couple of kids try to do that in our Wednesday night non-sanctioned league.

Besides that, I know what you mean about lane courtesy and it can be a pressure-situation especially if they are running up next to you as you prepare. I had my coach advise to play like I was wearing horse blinders; ignoring those who ignore me, you know? Kinda like I was bowling invisibly. But you'd think if they saw I was bowling well they'd ask me for some tips. Sometimes kids do, sometimes they don't. :/

About your right foot slide, I know what that's like. I have a long stride as you'll see Sunday afternoon when I post my first ever practice video. I have long legs and I usually use the 3rd dot from the left to set up on. Sometimes I move further left. Especially when shooting 3, 6, 9, and 10 pins when I use as much of the lane as possible to draw a straight line with my mind.

Not much you can do unless kids ask you for some help. Once they ask, they tend to follow the rules, but that one guy on your left was throwing it back-handed... then between his legs... that was just uncalled for. He clearly didn't want to be there. Should've a) asked for help or B) packed it up and left with his girl. But people will do whatever they wish. All we can do is focus on what we can do.

I look forward to more and your comments on my video as well. I'm curious to see what I look like myself. LOL!

About your splits, I think the ball was either rolling out before it hit the pins or it was hitting the pocket high/low. Either way, it was coming in at a difficult angle.

I get those funky leaves like that, too. Things like the 2-8 are common when I hit it a little too high, whereas the 4-10 is common when I hit it too low. Sometimes it can be real bad.. like the way I shot that second game of last Wednesday. But that's behind me and I'm glad I only tied my worst game of the season. It could've been way worse.

I'm looking forward to redeeming myself this week and I think it'll help to see how I bowl.
It'll be interesting, if nothing else.

Thanks again for the words! I am happy to know I am not alone.

I am going to bed now. I am out of steam. I am working on finishing a build to a website and I am currently copying existing pages over as well as converting some elements. Apparently I got the due date wrong and the client wants to see progress in a few hours! =(

Night. Thanks again!

A helpful suggestion: edit the video before posting it. In all honesty I got bored waiting for your shots. As for sliding, push hard with your right leg while taking a small step with the left on the ball of your foot. The heel is your brake. It's easier to show than describe so maybe somebody else can explain it better.

I was looking into the youtube editing stuff and all I see is TRIM. And it allows me to edit the Start and End time, nothing in between.

I think I know what you mean about the push off. I will try.

Thank you for watching! ;)

Wait until you join a league. Some teams are loud and can get annoying. People screaming, because someone just shot a 300 or maybe their teammate threw the first ball in the gutter. You have to learn to tone those things out.

In regards to missing your mark right or left and still hitting the pocket. Those are the good nights when nobody is using your line. Wait to you play some lines where you miss only 1 board to the right and it keeps sliding, or 1 board to the left and your going Brooklyn.
