Hey everyone, started bowling when I was 12 and bowled league and tournaments till I was 18. Just got burnt out and felt like I was destroying my wrist so I decided to "take some time off". 3 weeks ago my wife and I went out and and played 4 games at the local alley. I couldn't believe how much interest she had in the sport. She took an hour lesson and now she is totally hooked. We now have our own equipment and are throwing about 6-8 games a week. After the first few games I have came to realize that starting where I left off 18 years ago (190-210 average) is not going to happen. I needed to start out slower and get my form, timing and footwork back. My other interests are racing motorcycles which probably doesn't help with the aches and pains and playing music. The boards look like a fun bunch, see ya.

Welcome to the boards Kevin. I appreciate and echo Keith's statements. You'll get your step and motion back. It takes some time, but like many say, bowling is almost like riding a bike, in that you never completely forget how to do it. Take your time and have fun. Cheers!

15lb ebonite Cyclone. I asked Cam our pro shop guy to get me into an entry level ball with some reaction. I'll be moving in performance at a later date. Been working on getting behind the ball as I am uncupping to early, throws me way off! Switched from my weird 7 step to a 4 step approach. The few changes that I have made turned into nice improvements, my last 3 games were 146, 151, and 173. Dont ask what they were 3 weeks ago

Gonna take the GoPro with me this weekend to see what my arm is doing and where my timing is at.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes!!
