I am suprised that no one said anything about Jason Sterners 299 that was televised Sunday. He rolled a perfect game right down to the last ball of the last frame and someone Krazy-glued the 10-pin to the deck on him. When the pin remained up, my wife screamed so loudly it hurt my ears. My ear pain paled compared to Jason's pain at leaving 1 friggin' pin in the end. (In the immortal words of Maxwell Smart - "Missed it by that much") It was a great win as Wes Malot is no slouch leaving only one open frame due to a "goal post pin leave" and two 10-pin conversion. Other than that he was perfect.

Awesome matchup.

was a great show. he got away with a couple earlier in the run but was still a great performance.

I wish I could bowl as well as those guys. Their average for a tourney is often equivalent to a really good game for me.

Yeah I just finished watching it. He was on fire. I really thought he was gonna get it. I wish I could hit the pocket as cleanly as that let alone as often.

I'm a big fan of Wes' but was glad to see Sterner win and in spectacular fashion.

And on a 50' pattern! That was special. I feel for Wes Malott, but he will win this year - he is just bowling too well right now. Don't know how he does ti with torn cartilage in his sliding knee... :/

I got to see it live when I was there in January. It was impressive, what people don't know is that match completed at midnight on Saturday night. Everyone in the stands and even the bowlers and PBA crew were tired, but Sterner came out and threw up almost a perfect game.

In total the shows they taped on the Saturday session went from noon to midnight. I was surprised my wife made it that long without hating me. Lol

That explains a lot. I have noticed his abreviated style, and now realize why. He has worked well through his physical limitations.

just watched that last night.
he must have some mixed emotions after seeing the ten left standing, yet winning his first title.
think maybe it was because he moved left? since he was saying before he walked up for the last shot saying "make the move make the move"

It was a ringing ten and definitely the right move. Stuff just happens. He will win many more titles in the future.

I didn't see this, but I did DVR the event...just haven't had the time to watch it. I'm going to definitely watch it now!
