The Venom Strike is a deadly ball that hits with devastating power. Engineered to provide a strong arcing motion on light-medium oil, it blends the lane with ease.
At the heart of the Venom Strike is the proven Gear core from the original GT1. It provides a low RG for easy revs and a low differential to tame track flare.
The cover on the Venom Strike is very advanced for the category. We modified the Atomix shell that was utilized on the award-winning Sigma Tour and developed a specialized cover for the Venom Strike called Atomix Arc Solid Reactive. This shell sinks its fangs into the lane to read the friction and hit the pocket with bad intentions.
Review:
The Venom Strike has been a very good ball for me thus far. I have two venom strikes, ball one drilled 35X5X50 and ball two 75X4.5X40. Even though I have two differently drilled Venom Strike's that do roll different, I would still characterize this ball as a smooth strong arc rolling ball. For the price range of the Venom Strike, you get plenty of hook in the front part of the lane, even at the 3000 box surface. However, you still get a nice strong but smooth continuous motion in the backend. I love how agressive this ball is for the price point. Even though I would not suggest throwing it on heavy oil, the ball definitely needs some juice in the front part of the lane. I like throwing my Venom Strike on medium sport compliant patterns because it helps blend that pattern out and helps avoid over under. Comparing my two Venom Strike's. Ball one reads much earlier and much lazier in the back part of the lane, which I love when I am able to play straighter angles. Ball two gets through the front part of the lane much cleaner and is more angular at the break point. Ball two comes out of the bag as the lanes start to break down and start to move left. Ball two makes it easier to create more angle and not lose pin carry. This is another winner by MOTIV Bowling and you should visit your local pro shop and order yours today!
