Per the Subject, I am trying to find a ball that will compiment my Brutal Nightmare. I am looking for something that I can use for dryer lanes. I really like the DV8 Misfits, I started out with a 13 pound misfit, but wanted to go up in weight. So my old misfit will be donated to my wife and I was thinking about getting a 15 pound Misfit.

I am thinking about the Neon Yellow Mistfit Pearl, Any suggestions if this would be a good alternate to by BN, or would the normal Misfit be better?

I would suggest the Too Reckless in a heartbeat...

Any ball with either a 4000 finish or one with polish would do the trick on drier lanes; Misfits, Marauder, etc. are a few with similar covers.

I find the Marauder to be an excellent Medium to Light oil ball. I am in the exact opposite situation as you as I am in the market for a Heavy oil ball; the Brutal Nightmare and Nightmare are on my short list.

That's pretty misleading. My Sync was 4000 out of the box. Using it on dry lanes would be a huge mistake.

The Misfit to Brutal Nightmare would leave a huge gap. A lot depends on how dry you are talking and how adept you are at adjusting.

Still doing research on this, Having a hard time deciding what I want. I would like something before my summer league, but that will probably not happen due to timing and money.
@ Billf: I am getting better at adjusting, I find when I practice about 7-10 games non stop with my BN I have to move further and further right. I just started going all the way back right when I feel I have moved to far left. Seems to be working but still need to practice more.

So far I have three balls I am thinking about, If anyone has good input on any of these balls or others, would love to hear it. Right now I am looking at:

DV8 Too Reckless
Motiv Venom Toxin
Storm Freak'n Frantic (Not released yet)

Thanks for any input!

Too Reckless is very versatile and a good ball that is currently on sale due to being phased out.
Motiv Venom Toxin. Good ball, good reaction to friction. Thinking of purchasing one (seriously) after recently demoing one.
Freak'n Frantic....no opinion due to not being able to get ahold of one yet to test/demo

It's the exact same coverstock and core as the Fringe. Just different colors and smell.

No exactly a ringing endorsement, in my opinion. As good as the two IQs and the Sync are, that's how bad the Fringe is/was.

Billf Would either of those be a good ball for me? I know my few videos I put up don't show much. But I am a low rev (I think) and probably around 15mph? The lanes I bowl at do now have the speed or rev trackers. As stated above I am just l looking for something to help out when the lane gets a little too dry for my BN.

Whatever you ball you like can be drilled to fit your needs. That being said, the Too Reckless or Venom Strike would work well for you. Just ask for a pin to PAP distance close to 4". This will help the ball rev up easier. A good driller will be able to match the drill angle and Val angle to your style and lane conditions you face.
