This weekend, it was the Inter-Provincial tournament in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec. It's a 4 players team open tournament in 72 teams. I had the chance to meet Dan MacLelland that comes here almost each year. He won the price for the best average with 241 in 10 games. Our team had the chance to take a picture with him. Really fun guy!

That's pretty cool, I'd love to get out to Quebec at some point, have you been to studio buffa?

I would really like to go to Studio Buffa, but it's kind of far away from me (around 500 km). This summer (August 10th), there is "Expo Quilles" there. I would have been there for sure, but it's the same date as my brother's wedding (and he doesn't want to move the date... ahah).

I am the one with the green shirt behind.

And oh... our team finished 16th out of 72 teams... in front of MacLelland's team. Yeah!!!

I watched him play during a couple of game. It is astonishing how these players are consistant. He began the game with 5 in a row. The speed indicated on the screen was always between 27.52 and 27.57 kph.

Good finish.

for those not familiar with kilometers, he was at 16.512-16.542 mph. That's pretty darn consistent.

Yep he is consistent for sure I guess that is why he is on the PBA tour
I used to be consistent like that back in the day but not anymore. :(

I could get my picture taken with a PBA guy any week. I've no inclination to do so, though. But I'm a stick in the mud. :)

On the ball speed, my old center had ball speed indicators, but each lane was different, so they weren't any good for telling the true ball speed. They did, however, help with maintaining consistency because you could see if you were throwing slower or faster. The new center doesn't have those and wish they did.
