I learned to bowl when I was a kid (thanks Mom and Dad for dragging me along to that bowling center) and have bowled much of my life but recently came back from a 10 year absence from bowling. It was supposed to be "hiatus" but things changed and soon 10 years had gone by. Can't take those 10 years back, but I can move forward and started bowling again last fall. Was shaky at first but my winter league ended a couple of weeks ago and I ended up with an average in the upper 180's which I am very pleased with. It's about where my average was 10 years ago but I was using older equipment back then.
What's in my bag at this point in my "return to bowling"? A Brunswick Slingshot, a Storm "Reign of Power", and a Brunswick Tzone plastic ball for spares.
Thanks for having this forum! I look forward to reading it every day; some really great stuff in here.
Rob..

Welcome to the boards Rob and welcome back to the world of bowling after your 10 year hiatus! Sounds like you are off to a great start with a very good average and an arsenal to take on a variety of conditions.

Welcome Rob. I agree with Jaescrub. You will get as much information here as you want to. Glad you came back at about where you left off, it took me about 3 years to recover after my 20 year hiatus.

Hi Rob. Welcome. (Any relation to DJ?) I'm new around here too. The good news is you'll only get better!
My folks used to take me with them too. Remember Blue Chip Bowling? Ah, shoot. I just aged myself.
One of the local alleys does a variation on Blue Chip Bowling Saturday nights, but you win CASH. How fun is that!

I know! Why oh why does Storm feel the need to make scented bowling balls? If I want fresh berry scent I can go buy a can of Glade.. geesh.. anyways thanks for the warm welcome wagon everyone.

I'm the one who's confused. Somehow I got you and bowlerRob2 mixed up.

I was welcoming Rob and reminiscing about my folks taking me to Blue Chip Bowling. I saw your user/last name and was curious if you were related to a musician I worked with named DJ. :o
