Hey all!!! I got me a coach, its my cousin and since she family she not going to charge me she said and good thing cause if she did I don't think I would be able to afford her or chuck or anyone and don't think they do bowling clinics here I looked it up on Google and no such luck so at least I am getting lessons I am lucky I have a cousin who is a USBC Certified Coach, and I start Monday around 1 or 2 we going to do an hour each week and then when each hour is up I am gonna practice what I've learned until my mom and dad picks me up from therapy. I am really excited to get started learning the basics and get on the road to improvement! And Now Hopefully That Average will go Up Next week cause I already found out from my coach's husband Todd who is really my cousin well what I mean is he is my mothers nephew and my coach is his wife is my cousin by marriage is what I am trying to say sorry I know how to speak right or the right way to put things I am constantly repeating myself at home and putting things in different order so they sound right well until they sound like there worded right its like a tic with me or an itch you can't scratch. Anyway I am excited to get started my whole life evolves around Bowling its the only thing that makes me happy besides fishing and I don't have a fishing pond and I don't live on a the beach or near or even near a lake and our boat isn't ready we got two boats and the both not fixed or water ready right now well one could go in the water just needs a motor and dad has one but its not on the boat and we need a Troll en Motor we may have one but its not on the boat either and neither are the seats its a John boat we put seats in it for more comfort and ease. Anyway to get back on the subject at hand I think its really going to be a cool experience learning new things about Bowling and then applying them and seeing the finished product and getting rid of all those bad habits I have picked up from my own self and from listening to everyone at the bowling alley who don't know what there talking about I have watched a lot of you tube videos about bowling and I been coached by my dad up until now he tries to coach me but I also think he is holding me back he does help me improve but at the same time he holds me back he says I don't need a coach he says I just need to learn consistency he says a coach can't teach me that in that way he is holding me back I have learned here that I do need a coach and a coach can help me with consistency and teach me much more cause I am a perfectionist and I am willing to learn and throw out all those bad habits and try new things I will be like a sponge and absorb all I can into my head and body.


Is there an App for Iphone 5 by AT&T that I can use to take notes I know there is the app notes but is there a recorder I can use would voice memo work or something like that? Let me know.

It is its called LaneTalk Bowling and I already have it I think I have every Bowling app known to man for the Iphone LOL !!

this i can look at someone and be like do this and this and see what happens i took a 99 avg bowler to a 140 avg bowler and a 126 avg bowler to a 160 avg bowler in less then 3 months not to bad i dont think =D

The hard part is when you know you did something wrong, ask if you did such and such and nobody can tell you, "it looked good to me". Video taping helps but harder to fix the issues in real time. Unfortunately my coach is out of the country coaching a national team, damn Olympics lol

Is Bowling in the Olympics? I know its in the Special Olympics. I am hoping to bowl in the Special Olympics.

I believe bowling was an olympic sport for 1 olympic,then it was removed. I believe it was do to Europeans and Americans not agreeing on what conditions to layout so it would be a level playing field.

The guy I was talking about getting coached by that drills my Bowling balls he was in it I think at least that what his dad told me when I bowled on his fathers team and to tell you the truth if I wasn't related to my cousin Stacy the girl who is going to coach me now I wouldn't be able to afford it at all cause she more expensive then he is and I don't make that much I have to pay for medication and doctors each month which sucks I am on disability and I have no idea if I could get help from the government or not with my bills cause I used to get more until they made me switch over to medicare and now I have to pay them and I was penalized for getting a job so they took my birthday money and everything when I worked for a friend of the family and what they paid me I had to pay it all back I didn't get any of it now there a lite at the end of the tunnel there a possibility I can get financial help but there is no guarantee just hope I can get some help for my medications and doctor bills each month so I can have some money to spend to do something with and last me a whole month maybe join curves with it if get the help anyway got to wait till my mom can drive if get the help maybe I bowl more and join the do the Special Olympics.

Today I learn to stay behind the ball, to not muscle the ball, and targeting. She said later I will learn to slide and balance and stuff I also learned to stay low when I finish my shot instead of raising up, and to keep my elbow straight and not to wrap the ball around my back. Next time I defiantly need to take notes with a recorder on my phone I might have my friend meet me there every week and take video with my Iphone or something. Well my last practice game was 170 something I meant to get a print out but forgot. Next time I will and today I will get a score sheet cause today is league is Tuesday now . I hope I do good.now its time to go how at the moon LOL That's for you Michael Howl LOL

I don't mean to hi-jack this post. I'm sure it has to do with what area you are in. I can tell you that 2-3 years ago I paid $25/Lesson.

I start mid-May with a new coach and it will be $50/Lesson - pay for 4 get 5th free.

You will probably know later if I am happy with new coach by my posts...lol.

I am sure happy with my coach even though I did poorly in my scoring tonight besides my second game I got to remember I am learning something new and throwing away all those bad habits I have accumulated over the years especially this year and replace them with good habits.

Believe me...I don't really like spending the money, but sometimes you just get in a funk you can't seem to break out of. All the great advice at these boards have definitely helped. Also, if I was averaging 200 as you, maybe I wouldn't spend the money either.
