Since the 2012 - 2013 season (and THREAD (http://www.bowlingboards.com/threads/10413-Goals-for-2012-2013-Season)) is over (at least for most people) and I don't really consider summer as part of the bowling season, it's time to start a new thread for the coming season's goals. What are yours? As for me, I'm keeping them simple:

Get my average over 200 again (dropped from 209 to 196 last year).
Achieve a 175 average left-handed. I'm currently hovering around 160, unofficially.
Get a 300. I've "missed it by that much" many times, but haven't gotten it yet.
Be on a team that can actually finish in the top 50%. It'd be nice to be even higher, but I'm trying to keep it realistic.
Come out ahead in the individual pots that my team does. I did this last year, but two years in a row will be nice.
Win the monthly King of the Hill tournament. 3rd is my best finish so far.
Learn to keep consistent balance at the line. I'm getting there, but I still fall off the shot too often.
Achieve a 180 average on the sport conditions. I know I can shoot close to that on Shark and the other patterns are easier (for me).
Improve my spare shooting. My ten pin is around 81% right now. I want it up to 90% for this coming year.
Throw a clean series. Last year my best was 29 frames clean.

200 average (did this in 2 leagues that I didn't bowl the whole season in but want to do it for a full season)
300 Been within one strike a half dozen time (279s) and had a Varipapa 300 last year(756 series)

better control of ball speed. I am very reve dominant and would like to learn to throw with more speed/less revs to control ball action better.

footwork/balance I am putting these together since they are so related. I plan to try to find a local coach to start working with on this part of my game.

I suck at bowling

My main goal for next year would have to be consistency. That is a HUGE problem for me. So that is my number 1 goal. If i can achieve that the rest should fall in place.
-Avg. 200+ (avg 189 last year)
-Bowl a 300 (many close games)
-Bowl a 750+ . . . i think 800 is a little out of reach
-BE CONSISTENT!!!!!!

My goals are not that bad....
I just don't want to suck!

If there is any goal I set for myself is to cash in tournaments.
Last year was pretty good. Hoping to repeat this year.

I'm counting this summer as my next season. Looks like I'll be moving from Denton to Ft. Worth around September/October so I'll be late joining a fall league (hoping that I can find one with an open spot for me!)

So this summer I hope to
1. top my personal best game of 266
2. Get a 700 series
3. get a series with no open frames

I'm also hoping to join a PBA Experience league, I see there is one at my home alley starting later this month. I have to see how long it runs and if it's 12 weeks or so, I'm totally doing it! I just dont want to be in a league that I have to drop out of near the end due to me moving.

2. Get a few more 300's
3. Get my first 800 series
4. Average over 200 at Nationals
5. Bowl in more tournaments
6. Apply habits and practice regimen given when I get coaching sessions this summer

My goals are pretty simple:

- Bowl more, and make the most I can out of practice sessions (no booze, focus, stay calm)
- keep working on my form (try to bend my knees and stay lower more, relax my swing more, work on kicking my leg out more)

Not really worried about numbers right now. If I work on these two things I know my average will go up.

i am looking to achieve fun, gain experience, knowledge, meet more pin pals, establish deeper roots into the world of bowling,
hopefully maintain a positive attitude and a great sense of humor while out on the lanes especially, to be helpful and kind to
new bowlers that need to be made aware of etiquette on the approach. (that means my goal here is to hold my temper) also
need to set great examples never know who might be watching. need i say more?

For the coming season I would like to do the following:

- Average 220 (I feel this is a good goal for me as this will be my second year back in the game);
- Throw another 300. I have not thrown onw in the new reactive era yet and need to get that monkey off my back.
- Throw another 800 in leagues. I have had maybe 20 or more of these with nearly all of them coming before 1993...
- Compete again in the NJ States and NOT embarass myself in front of Kelly Kulick like I did this time....

1. Stop being a douche who changes his mind every 5 minutes
2. Make more spares, actually make a whole lot more spares
3. Get as much help as I can from my friend/coach
4. Did I mention making more spares? Ok then, make this one to throw a more consistent strike ball.
5. Have fun? Umm, yeah ok that works
6. Accomplish all the goals that I set for myself last season, especially the ones I missed.

1) Don't give up on myself
2) Bowl on sport patterns
3) Get my average above 190 (I ended last winter with 188)
4) Go for 100% spare conversion on single pin leaves
5) Better my form
6) Play with 5 step approach to see if it works
7) Relax on the lane

I guess my main goal(s) for the 2013-2014 season is the same as it was
for the 2012-2013 season

1.too just make it through the season
without blowing my knee(s) out or having my back go out on me.

2. see above goal again^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

3. any other goals would have to just be maybe bowl another 1 or 2
sanctioned 300 games and maybe have 2 or more sanctioned 800 series
and maybe have back to back 300 games or what the heck go for triple
300 games and a 900 series. LOL!!!!!

that though so what do you say shall we let the games begin? lol! i don't know how i managed to go into the gutter when
i did it and if i can't figure that out i don't know how i am suppose to put a stop to it. i magld to see our backposting on here again you have been missed even if you did not know it.

Its going good I am getting better but slowly I keep suite casing the ball its a bad habit I have picked up and now its a hard habit to try to stop doing and I muscle the ball with my fingertip ball and and I don't suite case or muscle the ball with my conventional grip drilled plastic ball so only think my coach can figure out there is that she thinks I keep thinking I am going to drop my fingertip drilled ball so now I got to have my plastic ball plugged and and have it drilled fingertip so they both have the same feel she said and she wanted me to get a puff ball to keep my hands dry to keep my thumb from sticking inside the ball when they sweat I am learning to slide and a whole new approach I am going practicing tomorrow so I can practice it and lessons are Monday and League is Tuesday so next I go to practice walking in a line with my feet like I walking on a tight rope I got to practice that and practice landing on my toes instead of my heels and planting my feet cause I got a shoe slide to fit over my shoe until I can afford the woman's SST 8's the black red and white by Dexter last week in league I scored the lowest I scored in a long time but I am learning something new and it gonna take awhile for me to learn it and my took awhile for me to get my ball to hook I had tape in my ball cause thumb hole was slipping and had to take it out it was textured tape.but sorry I haven't been posting lately I try to post more often if can think of something to say.
