ok well 1 thing i see you still do is when your about to throw the ball ether 1 handed or 2 handed but 2 handed is worse is that you are like forcing the ball forward witch is making you bobble your head around and witch if you do this too much you could actually really hurt you neck.

2- i see when you get to the line before the ball has even came off your hand your body is low at the start then you just stand up really fast right as it is coming off your hand keep your body at 1 level threw the approach and throw and try to stay in the same position untill the ball hit the pins then move from that spot, because with standing up to early before the ball comes off your hand can created missed shots, bad throws. but it can also hurt your back at the same time.

these are the 2 main things i see you doing wrong and once you fix these the rest will fix naturally.

I have gotten a lot better on the head movement though!

The standing up is an issue that I haven't spent up enough time on fixing, but I think that'll be my next project!

You're going in the right direction. You know what you need to work on and have made improvements on what you have worked on thus far.

I'm still going back and forth on my one handed verses my two handed.

My scores are higher two handed (188-195 two handed compared to 180-185 one handed) but I'm always told that I have more potential one handed.

What do you think?

yes the head movement is better it dose not move as much but another thing that could also be making it move so much is the standing up at the end of the approach because it looks like you are standing up and your head is going up but you are making your head go back down type of thing if you understand what i mean.

I'm not surprised. You look a lot more comfortable when you throw two-handed. Also, you look like you are muscling the ball when you throw it one-handed. Very jerky movement instead of just letting it flow.

Yeah, my follow through is super jerky.

Everyone keeps telling me that my one handed form is way better, and I need to stop doing both.

It just gets really frustrating.

Yeah! I can see how that would add to my problem, lol.

At this point, it looks like your one handed delivery is more violent than your two handed. It looks like your whipping the ball a lot. Two hands looks good. It looks more under control than the old delivery. Your not trying to over power the ball as much, and your not twisting yourself up as much. Now I'm coming from the perspective of a two hander, so I may be biased, but your two handed delivery definitely looks better than your one handed.

I think my "whippy" delivery comes from me trying to generate revs. I can't do the whole cup-uncup motion very well, so I whip the ball trying to compensate.

The more I watch my two handed form, the better it looks. Do you think I'm too upright on my delivery?

Your two-handed is better than your one-handed. You have lots of potential with both. I say keep working on both and use whichever you want that day.
Osku and Belmo are obviously exceptional but it's the balance they have that you need to acquire. From there the rest will fall into place. Even power players use finesse. Bowling is a sure fire finesse sport.

Yeah, your back leg still comes up over your head at one point in your delivery. I notice it a lot with the yourger, smaller guys who are trying the two handed delivery. They are trying to throw it harder, and rev it more, and they put a lot of body into the delivery. Watch Belmo, and how smooth he is, and how little wasted motion he has in the upper body. Not everyone can, or has to emulate Belmo or Osku, but they do provide a good blueprint for a solid two handed delivery. It's not so much the follow through were you are more upright than Belmo, it's the release point. You could use more knee bend, and bending at the waist a little more as well. The last video I posted of me was a while ago, I will try to post another one soon. Since then I have more knee bend, and now I have zero loft. Because you stand up a little more, You have loft. The ironic thing is as I work to get lower and smoother, the more I start to realize that as an older two hander, I will probably have to go the other way. I will have to stand up more, and put less torque on my back if I want to bowl this way in the years to come.

I totally agree with Bill. You have a lot of potential with either delivery. What I would suggest, take some revs off your one handed delivery. Not just to stop the whipping motion, but to give you a totally different game than your two handed. It's what I am trying right now. I can play down and in with one hand, and deep inside with two, and use either if I play the middle.

you should stick to your 2 handed it was great but your 2 handed had the worse head bobbing, your 1 handed throws you where flipping your wrist to much where you could hurt your wrist and jsut saying dont think it wont because i just hurt my wrist because i use to flip my wrist abit to so you need to learn how to just lift the wrist and not use you forearm to move your wrist.

but your 1 handed with the flipping will make you lose accuracy so i would say the 2 handed because you had alot more control 2 handed.

Yeah, I know quite a few one handers who do the whipping motion. And they are all smaller guys like me.

Everyone says "you're gonna blow your elbow out kid!" lol

I'll have to try to work on my one handed, but it'll be hard because its the only motion I know currently. Any drills/tips that will help with get rid of the whippy-ness?

And I'll work on the knee bend. I can see that I have problems with that both one and two handed.

I'm inching my way towards having better balance, though currently its light years better then where I was before.

and I plan on using both approaches, I might even use two handed on one lane, and one handed on the other, lol.

Something my coach taught me I dunno if it will apply to two handed bowlers or both one handed and two handed but I am a one handed and she said they your shoulders should be facing your target you should be in line with your target not your feet just your shoulders should be squared to your target. That's all.

Hmmm, I can't tell if I' squaring up or not.

The angle of my video is bad.

Are you having issues with your hand? noticed a few times after release you would grab your fingers. Then later you are wearing a glove.

Nice catch Gunz, I did not notice that when I first looked at the video. I did notice the glove in the later part of the video. I know at one point, he did say he had issues with the ring finger. I can say for sure that with my two handed style, I had some problems with my finger tips. At one point if felt like they were on fire after every throw. I felt like I was going to rip the skin of my fingers. That's one of the reasons I went back to one hand. The irony is I ripped the skin off my thumb, and palm bowling one handed. I changed my grips, and went smaller. I had bigger grips in, and they caused me to try to grip it harder. I thought about trying a glove kind of like Pete Weber. Basically, I would just use a glove for football players, and get much bigger grips put in to fit the glove tips. I would also not cut the thumb out, just to get some extra grip.

I have unhealed blisters on both my bowling fingers, mostly on my middle finger. For the first part of the video I'm wearing a finger sleeve on my middle finger, so after each shot I have to readjust it.

I was trying out a glove later on to see if I liked it. I'm not quite decided on how I feel about it, so I'm gonna try it out some more.
