Am on vacation and hung out with a high school buddy this afternoon. Went for some lunch and some bowling. I don't take my own equipment on vacation so was using the house balls and shoes for the first time that I can even remember.

First game had 8 strikes and a couple opens for a 203. Second game started with a turkey and then a couple spares, another turkey and ended up with a 221.

Good to know that I haven't completely lost my knowledge of bowling straight.

Those are some pretty good scores for using house
equipment.

I just want to know why he did not bring us equipment if vacation ;) the wife and I just got back from Detroit we Bowled at three places one was 100 years old. Would have sucked using house equipment.

I agree with you both; good scores with house junk and WHAT KIND OF VACATION DOESN'T INCLUDE LOTS OF BOWLING?!?!?!?!

Have to agree 100% on that with you bill.

Just like the old what was it oh yeah the American Express card
commercial you never leave home without it.

I never leave town on any kind of vacation without taking all or
most of my bowling equipment.

On vacation currently, and although the intent was to come sit on the beach and watch the waves, read and sleep - I have to admit, I have thought about not bringing the bowling balls being a bad idea - but I will survive. Just keep thinking the week without bowling is going to do wonders for my elbow - and destroy my timing! Such is life - never satisfied. But the weather is beautiful in So Calf this week!

Yeah, if I was driving to vacation I would have brought equipment, but such is life. Will get right back into it when I get back home next weekend. I'm the only bowler in the family and they wouldn't go with me anyway.

My wife and I even took our gear on our honeymoon. Had a good fun time at a different centre. Scores didn't mean anything.
