Hi,

Here is my story and cry for a help:) So I have Turbo 2 in 1 thumbs. Everything was fine till summer. But from that time not so pleasant things started to happen. Sometimes I simply can't insert thumb in hole. Sometimes I can't remove thumbs at all, they simply move a little and get stuck:( This started to happen from high weather temperatures:( My only one solution to remove the thumb is to sit into my car, put bowling near air exhaust openings with air conditioner turned on. After some time I'm able to remove my thumb with big troubles when ball part with a thumb gets cold. So my question is - anyone experienced such behaviour during summer? Are there any other solutions to remove these damn thumbs or prevent such behaviour?:( Thanks.

I've noticed that mine seem to be a bit stubborn in the warmer weather. The more I take them in and out, the easier they get. Friday I was really struggling to get one out (first time in new ball) - even tried the tape to get a better grip, when one of my team mates handed me a tool (I think it's called Change-IT) that you insert into thumb, twist and pull out the insert. Worked well and didn't strain my thumb doing it. Going to see about ordering one when I get back from vacation.

Non-stick cooking spray. The tool helps too.

My colleague had a tool and we were not able to remove a thumb with a tool:( I'll try a spray (can you give me some examples as I'm not from US). I'll also try oil...

Problem is that this started to happen with all of my balls, even with ones which are old. When there was not so warm I had no single problem with thumb:( I've tried and removal tool. No luck:( I wonder why is this happening?:/

before bowling try to keep the thumb slugs in a refrigerator. Also if it's that hot, I'd bring a small soft sided cooler with a couple of ice packs in it
and pull the slug out after each shot (if you're in a league) or at least rotate the slugs every few frames. The cold should make them contract just a bit just as the heat will make them swell up.
